Apparently low level world boss events are still very much off scale. Many times I participated to those events and there were more than 30 people around, and each time the boss would fall in less than 5 seconds without even having a chance to attack. I’m talking precisely about the champion svanir shaman and the great jungle worm.
With so many people around their health pools must be furtherly increased along their attack power and frequency.

Whether something is either wrong or right, someone will always complain about it.

Thing is low level events I believe are scaled on low level armor/weapons/trinkets as well. So when a high level is scaled with exotics/ascended + triats they are still way above anyone at that level. They should probably scale these bosses off the stats of an 80 with full exotics/ascended being synced down because in the end thats most of the people fighting it anyways. For those not being synced down with full exotics/ascended well atleast you get a nice little challenge ^^ Or make it only scale off 80’s with full exotic/ascended being synced down when there are X amount of players like 20+ or something.

If those bosses would have a significantly higher health pool, then this game would be less accessible for new casual gamers.

And you should not assume that every level 80-player has full exotic or ascended set. In fact I often play in WvWvW (euro tier 1) where my team mates don’t have so good gear. Yet they still play very well. A lot of people don’t have the time and resources to fully equip all their level 80 characters.

One of the key reasons why a level 80 character is more powerful at low level is not the gear. The gear gets scaled down almost too good, e.g. many people complain that their level 80 character lacks healing or chance to get a critical hit when scaled down to levels below 30 (I think they are probably running on a zerker gear, a balanced level 80 is working well in low level). But the fact that level 80 character has 60 trait points and access to much more powerful traits. Also a level 80 has access to elite skill and more skills than the level 1-10 character has.

May not be most, but still a large portion of players have high end gear. Many don’t care for ascended but exotics are pretty cheap if you’re just going for the stats making it very accessible. Traits certainly help, but the superior sigils/runes added with “best” geared players scaled to X level it just makes said player do too well. In wayfarer, my valkryie thief can almost 1 shot the moa’s around the maw with the cluster bomb. I don’t think scaling the player’s is the issue as much as scaling the bosses to these players. Taking into account everyone’s armor would be too difficult, so a baseline of maybe full rares would do better than assuming everyone is running master’s or fine with level 10-20 traits. Of course this is only for the starter zone world bosses. The higher bosses should scale further especially the shatterer and tequatl. Claw of Jormag is pretty good but there should be more spawns in the main field harrassing the players sitting on the ledge pressing 1. Create some chaos or something.

The thing is: if your low level character actually has the best possible gear for his/her level (most don’t), several low level characters can also one-shot enemies there. I used my level 80 characters to craft perfect gear and food buffs for my thief when she was low level. As result pretty much anything died using just a basic power build and dual daggers: dagger #5, steal, dagger #1 or even easier just pressing dagger #2 (heartseeker) 1-4 times in a row. Many opponents died instantly using just one skill / auto-attack when my thief was level 10 or so.
