Individual names for pets
Cant you already name your pets? I have a ranger, admittedly not played much, but i was still able to give my pet a custom name.

It’s quite annoying having to rename the pets everytime you change your set up to new pets, or when you charm a pet and it gets the name of the one it replaces. Makes me not care about naming my pets, which I think is pretty fun, and makes me not want to change my pets because then I will have to rename them next time I want them on my team

Ridgeblader: Yes you can name pets, but it’s very limited. You basically name the “slot”, and if you swap a pet into that slot it takes that name. Only sometimes it doesn’t, it seems to be a bit flaky.
You can name each pet and I plan on naming my pig pet Misery. Now to more important requests when can we tame a skunk as a ranger pet? Can you imagine a skunk chasing you in wvw and how awesome that would be?

I agree, it’s annoying to name your pet, and swap pets, and then lose the name. It would be nice to be able to name all of your pets separate names, and they retain the names until you change the names.
So I rolled a ranger over the weekend, having a blast! Much better than the Ele I decided to leave at lvl 24. Anyway I have to say I agree with names not sticking to each pet.
Surely it would be relatively simple to save the name you allocate for a pet.

Would like to see names “stick” to the pet, not the slot. I had a great name for my fern hound but then decided i wanted to use other pets for the most part. Forgot to write it down before I switched him out- two weeks later, I cant recall what it was. Boo. 9_9
I think it takes a lot of fun out of the ranger when the names of pets are lost. Even going out and discovering them (which I was excited to do with the ranger) became less fun when I realized each didn’t get its own name.
So yes, please fix this!
