TL;DR Now that the infinite gathering tools are no longer available, is it possible that they be made account bound?

I have purchased all three of them, but now I’m regretting the character (more specifically, the race) that I chose to soulbind them to. I can’t understand why a limited time item like this has such a major inconvenience attached. Having to choose a single character to keep them – while this may make sense for some – has a negative impact on the way I choose to experience the game.

I’m sure that others have had similar experiences to me. I would really appreciate a reply from AreanNet, even if it is just to explain their position on this.

I would have liked it if they were account bound as well. I ran into the same issue with the pickaxe. I bought it for my first character. I soon learned I no longer like or want to play that character. Now I have a mule with a pickaxe. I ended up parking her at my home instance for mining the crystal node.

I second this request. I feel somewhat pinned to one character which has all three infinite gathering tools. That appears detrimental to variation. Other costly yet not character defining gimmicks seem account bound for good reasons.
