I would like to suggest adding a inspect feature which would be used for you see a players gear to see if they got any cool legendary, rares whatever you need to inspect a player for it would be great to have one

There is absolutely no point in this, when you can just ask the player what they’ve got on...

Some people don’t like being asked to link their pretty skins by every other person.

So creeping on them without them knowing is the way to get around that?

inspection? that sounds creepy to me.

but, you know… once upon a time… there was a Hall of Monuments. before it drowned and its npc’s turned into spirits, GW players could display all their elite armors and dedicate and display other items. the idea behind it was to allow players to transfers their achievments from GW to GW2. but in the end it turned out to be… one ghostly npc with few dozens of unlocks.

the concept was great. you could take a friend or group of friends and show them your dedicated items. be proud of your titles, and game achievements.

i really want to understand what the develepors had in mind when they removed/omitted such an excellent feature.

If you’re proud of your titles/achievements/armor sets, and someone asks you about ’em, you’d likely be glad to explain what they are and how you got them. Even embellish the story a little, an awe inspired lowbie won’t know any better.

And no, the HoM was just to unlock rewards. It was never going to be anything else.

The main thing that would make me think twice about an inspect option is that it opens the way for. "We want a “insert runes” with a “weapon” or you can’t come. I know it doesn’t matter a great deal in this game, but that doesn’t mean people wouldn’t have to live with it.

I saw people asking for level 70+ for AC explorable. While they may have wanted a more experienced player, its also another way of saying you want them to be in better runes/armor. ACem has a suggested level of 35, players at that level should (doesn’t mean they easily will) be able to do that content.

We don’t need anymore reasons to not accept people into a group beyond past experiences (given the assumption you disliked the person’s attitude/playstyle in the past).

@Simon -I spent too much time organizing my statues before GW2 came out to not even see tattered remains of the statues… We don’t have access to enough titles through achievements for anyform of HoM type thing currently though (not to mention a shortage of prestige armor… on a side note, what you CAN find was still interesting

Well for that matter it could be a function which only displays the skin origin for the item and not the actual item.

Everygame that adds an inspection immediately gets followed with a cry to be able to block inspection, then everyone with good gear blocks inspection and boom all you did was waste the devs time. Just drop this issue.

Yes i would like inspect feature. I havent played an MMO where this isnt possible. If it bothers you then have an option to limit viewing to public and open to others or w.e. But yeah, add it.

OK so every now and then I would like to show my guild my new armor (on my character) or my new asura. Them being able to inspect me would be AWESOME. (Also the ability for people to write bios for their character would be great too)

Sure you can pop into the Heart of the Mists, but have you seen the crazy otherworldly lighting effects they have going there?
