GW2 isn’t about the higher level stuff.
The fact that you get scaled up or down when the situation calls for it should be clue enough.
This would make the game pointless.
No ….
Guild Wars isn’t like those other games, where it doesn’t even start until level 80 (which I always thought a stupid philosophy); instead you get pretty consistent gameplay through the entire experience. Jumping ta 80 really isn’t gonna make the game any more fun than working your way to 80 – and if you just want ta check out the skills, you can go into PvP where everyone is boosted to max level wam-bang.
I don’t think I need ta be a government certified prognosticator to tell you this ain’ ever going to happen.
I’m sorry I stepped outta yer box, don’ worry, if
ya whine enough they’ll put me right back.
I see no point in jumping to 80 either. Sometimes I would like to do it because leveling a new character is boring when you know a lot of the low level areas but all that combat is necessary to learn the ends and outs of the character.
Now, if you really want to get to 80 fast, you can buy $30 worth of gems, wait until gold conversion is favorable and get 28 to 35 gold. Then you can buy mats and craft your way halfway to 80. Cooking takes 1 to 3 gold and around 2000 karma. Jewelcrafting takes about 3 to 5 gold. Artificer…
well…
That has everything you need to know.
Its not that i am lazy it because i have a life and i want to be able to do stuff without having to level to that level, if i like a class and i am willing to pay i don’t see why its not possible

WHAT rewards?
There are no rewards at level 80. If people want to skip to 80 and do the same hing they could’ve done at level 10 …who cares? It nets more money for anet.
What they should have done is kept in up-scaling in dungeons and throughout the world like they had originally planned. They scrapped this idea before beta.

Skins for starters. And the ability to fully spec into you’re desired build (traits, utility) as well as the start to agony resist if fotm is your thing and ascended gear. There is a lot more gained from hitting 80 than you think.

You’re insane.
ANet has spent tons and tons and tons of money, time and people designing all the pre-80 content. Basically you’re asking them to admit that no one gives a kitten about the pre-80 content and that the people in charge of that should go work on something else.
And that’s just not going to happen.

Skins can be used at any level if you have xmute stones.
And I definitely wouldn’t call being able to trait a ‘reward’.

You can’t trasmute skins of higher levels to lower levels (legendaries, dungeon armor, etc).
And being able to put 70 traits as opposed to 30 or 40 is quite significant. Starting to think this post isn’t to be taken serious. O.o

This isn’t ever going to happen.
I know me and a lot of people in my guild would love to be able to go straight to higher level stuff on Guild Wars, I think they should add a instant level 80 consumable in the gem store ranging from the price of 20-30 euro/dollars. I am pretty sure a lot of people would buy this.
You do know that you can do this, right? Granted, you are not buying 1 item to “insta” level from 1 to 80. But there is are 8 crafting professions and leveling each profession from 0 to 400 gives you 10 levels. So if you craft all 8 to 400, thats level 80 right there and you never have to leave your home city. Goto www.gw2crafts.net and they calculate how much gold it will cost you to level that profession to 400. And the site auto updates itself every hour on the changing cost of materials.
I know, I know… You are super lazy and just want to buy 1 item to get straight to 80 with a simple double click. You don’t want to spend an average of an hour per profession of buying gems, converting to gold, buying materials and then crafting. But hey, at least you aren’t spending 4 days of hard core level grinding out in the pretty world that Anet made.
Personally, it doesn’t make the game any more or less fun than it otherwise would be. “The whole game is end game” mindset applies here, and mostly has everything to do with the scaled down mechanic, which effectively makes content relevant to you no matter how far you go past it in level.
I’m honestly not a fan of vertical progression at all; it’s why I liked GW1 so much. But GW2’s leveling is so easy, and you can get through all of it if you have the gold anyway through crafting, that it’s a non-factor to me. Not a huge fan of artificial power and content gating, so I tend to avoid that type of content in game. (Note: I have 2200 hours and many sets of exotics, but zero ascended gear pieces.)
So, honestly, the content is what’s most fun to me when doing PvE and I can go back and experience that as I would if I were leveling there anyway. Even if I can rip through normal mobs, there’s still veterans or champions I can challenge my skill, patience, and builds on as well as the ever-painful Orr zones. -shrug-

Yes you can. I’m wearing level 70 skins on my level 30 elementalist.

Some pieces resemble higher level pieces (gladiator armor for instance) but the skin is the same. I’m talking about skins exclusive to level 80 can’t be transmutated to lower levels. There are numerous event weapons (jormag’s needle, claw of the desert, grenth, dwayna, lyssa, have a weapon, dungeon weapons, and legendaries.).

Yeah! I need a level 80 so I can join all those cool raids and stuff!
There are a ton of other games that allow you to level with your Cr Card. I have sampled games that do that, and what I found is it seems to draw in a certain type of player (I use the term loosely, here). Obnoxious, verbally abusive, and over-all unfriendly group. Chat is full of whining about the GM did or didn’t do this or that. Many seemed to think they had paid enough for the GMs to be their personal servants, even to the point of kicking low level players (you know, the ones actually leveling) just because they didn’t want noobs on their server (noob=people who don’t have money irl).
Please, I don’t want those spoiled brats drawn to this game.

Low self esteem + money = brat.
Congratulations. This is possibly the most ridiculous request I have seen on these forums, and I’ve seen a lot of them. Why do you even bother with this game?
Its not that i am lazy it because i have a life and i want to be able to do stuff without having to level to that level, if i like a class and i am willing to pay i don’t see why its not possible
So everyone who does not agree with you and actually ‘plays’ the game doesn’t have a life?
Yeah.. I think we’re done here.

Hey this is not the most ridiculous request. There was on who wanted to make so that if people use downed timesaver skills, 2nd skills, and still got finished would have got fined by breaking whole armor. The other was to stun mesmer for 5 secs when he used portal.

Don’t forget all the suggestions relating to nerfing Thieves to the ground, including stuff like introducing cooldowns to all skills or 10s+ Revealed.

New MMO model: Pay2BeKewl.
There are no levels or anything, everyone starts with a basic set of equipment. On each server there is EXACTLY ONE Sword of Awesome Awesomeness, one Helm of Awesome Awesomeness, etc.
Server reset is each night at 8pm. Upon reset, the entire Equipment of Awesome Awesomeness set is returned to Altar of Awesome Awesomeness. Each player on the server can donate a number of Awesome Awesomebucks (cost $1US per AA) to the Altar, and choose a piece of equipment per donation. At midnight the individual pieces go to the player who donated the most AA for that item. Until the next reset, he gets to walk (or ride, if he has the Awesome Awesomehorse) around the city showing off his equipment.
This is guaranteed to make the person or company who develops this idea a billionaire within six months of release.
Wait until these instant 80’s are asking “what is atunment?”, “how i control pet?”, “wat is timwarp?” in the middle of Arah runs (terrible spelling/grammar is intentional).
Just because you like a class and would enjoy using it in the “endgame” is not a valid reason to avoid leveling. I consider myself an average player, and in the time it took me to hit 80 on my elementalist, I had only just scratched the surface when it comes to mastering the class, but at the very least I was competent enough to hold my own. Heck, I didn’t even find (pre-nerf) Orr to be a problem as many people did.
Leveling in this game essentially serves the purpose of teaching you how to use your class at least marginally well. Eliminating that will only serve to frustrate those working on completing endgame content (dungeons, fractals, etc) who actually know how to effectively use their class. And no, reading guides and copying builds does not make you effective with your class.

Pvp is about player versus player, so all people are scaled fully to 80 and have access to the same stats.
Wvw is sorta pvp since you’re scaled to 80 but have no traits at the start or the quality gear/sigils/runes.
Pve is about progression and eventually looking cool. There is little of a gear treadmill. Rare at 40’s, exotic at 60’s, and ascended at 80. Aside from learning the profession, which you should be doing, there is work towards 80 which adds to the game and also fulfills many people who are used to becoming stronger over time.
Now op, you want to take out 79 levels of content because its a problem with your schedule? It’s an mmo, you should be aware they take time. You don’t need to dedicate 6 hours a day to get anywhere, a mere 1-2 hours can get you a level and some items. If you can’t put in atleast 1-2 hours then you shouldn’t be playing mmo’s to begin with because you won’t be having any fun if every session you get interupted with real life activities. Thats good to have things outside of the game to do, but that doesn’t mean you should be willing to pay2play because its an inconveinience for you.
Most importantly, you won’t know anything about you’re profession if you skip out on leveling. Thats also what leveling is there for, to learn your class, test out builds, enjoy the game. If you skipped to 80 I highly doubt anyone will keep you in their party for more than 1 event.
break. I feel like they should be back by now..”
You don’t need to know how to play the class if you whip out the credit card, buy Twilight, and spend the entire game standing around in Lion’s Arch looking cool. I think this is more like what OP is getting at.
I think the OP might be onto something here, though he’s selling the idea a little short.
The Gem Store should be selling “zone finisher” crystals, so that when you hit a new zone and you just don’t have the time to complete it because you have a life, just double click your “zone finisher” crystal and Hey Presto… All done.
Personal Story finisher crystals would be a good idea too, just click this crystal whenever the personal story is interfering with you having a life and a Golden Chariot will appear and fly you to the Ruined City of Arah, where you’ll be whisked onto an airship so you can watch Zhaitan immolate himself.
