Introducing the Chronomancer
Time can also rot, decay and made wounds become infected.
But it can also make wounds heal faster. Did you know for example that The Flash is actually the medic of the Justice League? He uses his speed manipulation to make wounds heal faster.
I don’t really have anything to add to the discussion or to suggest, I just wanted to show my support, it’s one of the most well thought (and coolest) idea I’ve ever red for a class, I loved the designs and the idea of the chronomancer from GW Utopia and it would be really cool to finally be able to play one in GW2. Also I think, like you said that the combining of technology and magic would make a lot of sense lore-wise and the space/time magic feels very unique too. Finally I prefer for it to be a Heavy class as well.
Extremely well thought out, and I deeply hope they implement this. I definitely feel that it needs to be tweaked (strongly) by the dev team, however I also feel that this class would be very workable. Also, very interesting take on the Chronomancer, never thought of them as a heavy armored class, however I definitely feel you did a good job as representing them as such.

i like the idea its definitely unique and would certainly bring something to the game, especially that slow time field you mentioned.
Except this isn’t really a new idea. This was a potential new player class for GW1 before Utopia was scrapped. I’m personally glad they scrapped this profession because it doesn’t sound that great in my opinion.
There’s already enough in this game that is steering it away from Fantasy RPG and this would only continue down that road.

It’s not in the opening post but he already mentionned that it was taken from Utopia and while OP didn’t come up with the idea of the class, he did come up with everything else. Also, I never saw Guild Wars 2 as a Fantasy RPG (well at least the classic fantasy stuff that you see everywhere else) and I’m glad it isn’t just that, I like fantasy but I much, much prefer the mix of sci-fi-fantasy that we get in GW2, it depends on the person I guess.
Well, I for one think this is fantastic. I love it when people not only think out the details, but listen to feedback and make balance adjustments where needed.
This is beautiful, and I think it would become my new favorite class. I just hope that they’ll be willing to listen and pick it back up to consider.

There have been alot of great suggestions, bow teleport has been updated to be more interesting as well.
Also with the gold pocket watches and “Time will stop” passages in the Scarlet riddle, I’m really excited about this update, as it opens new lore that might be perfect for the introduction of a class like this
Great and well thought-out ideas. I really hope anet considers this for their game, and it would make my, and many other people’s, day if they said so on this thread… It would just be incredible and fulfill a promise they made with Utopia.
Just wanted to say that I dearly hope this gets added. I would love it to death and actually be passionate about it. I enjoy my warrior as my main character but time magic is something that interests me greatly to a very high extent. I absolutely love the idea of a time traveling risk taking hero. (Yes I am a doctor who fan)
I really love the idea of playing with time. There’s so much Anet can do to make this fun and an exclusive gameplay.
I have a few suggestions for slot skills (I havent read all the threads so hopefully these suggestions are not already made):
Quantum Leap:
When used, the Chonomancer uses itself as a human shield against all the incoming projectiles heading towards allies. The Chonomancer slows time making it appear that he moves so fast that it appears as if multiple of his illusions have suddenly summoned.
The Chonomancer takes all the blocked damage. Gains stability for the duration of this skill.
Become one with light: (similar as Blink and Lighting flash)
The chonomancer moves to the targetted location so fast, it looks as if he has teleported. Leaves a trail of his armor color from the source to destination.
If Arenanet makes this class. They will get money from me purely because I will have to use a transmutation splitter and crystal to move my legendary mace over to this character. Brilliant profession idea, original and well thought out.
