I know a hell of a lot of people out there want this. It was a great feature in Guild Wars, and would be just as great in Guild Wars 2.
The ability to create a build, save the build, and link the build to other people so they can see it and possibly use it if the trait points are freed up. Of course, the ‘use it’ part would be profession specific, but you could still save it(locally just like in GW1) for your alts.
Part of that template software has to be already made in PvP right? I mean, you can view other peoples traits and armor setup now in spectator mode. I cannot be the only one, and I know I’m not, that thought of this being one step in the right direction toward template codes.
It doesn’t have to include the look of the armor or anything like that for the armor templates. It could just be the stats, and the UI could be similar to the Guild Wars one but with the look of Guild Wars 2.
I’m considering attempting to put together a basic idea of what it could look like myself on my end in photoshop. It would be very crude, and most likely using images from the asset kit, but you would get the point.
So, there’s a suggestion Anet.
+1 this is a good idea
One of my guilds and I discusses something similar about this a couple days ago, but the conversation got sidetracked by other things going on in game. :/
