Make the Jeweler the one craft that can get to 500 and not actually make ascended items like rings and such since anet already screwed them out of being able to do that anyway. Let them be the ones who can refine the mats and those mats refined by a Jeweler will be able to be sold on the TP. Not only being able to refine mats to higher states but break down rings from drops into ready to use mats.
Yes this is a good compensation for not letting the Jeweler do what he was supposed to do anyway.

Jewelcrafting will also get its cap raised sometime in the future. Crystalline Ores and Bars are in the game, but can’t be obtained/don’t even have an use yet.

We are more then likely going to have something added to jewel crafting to 500 after all there is still the Crystalline ore, Crystalline Ingot, and Xunlai Electrum Ingot not accounted for yet with ascended crafting.

Personally, I hope that they focus on upgrade components rather than crafting trinkets since we can get asc trinkets elsewhere easier. My idea would be to not only create the next level of filigree gem, but also expand to sigils and runes.

The jewelers would be able to modify other upgrade components is because we “jeweled/adorned them.” So your Superior Rune of Fire could be turned into Ruby Rune of Fire . The sup rune of fire stats will be unchanged, but there will be counters for the gem/jewel addition, sort of like they are their own rune. Except it would be dependent on the rune so if you have 2 Ruby Runes of Fire it will read it as 2 ruby runes so you get (1)&(2), but if you have 1 Ruby Rune of Fire and 1 Ruby Rune of Ice it will read it as 2 different ruby runes so you get (1)&(1) ruby stats.

Stat-wise I wouldn’t want to increase too much compared to exotics runes and would want them to be compatible. So you can have 2 Ruby Runes of Fire and 4 Sup Runes of Fire and still get all 6 rune effects for the rune. Numberwise it would be just +1 to +3 so not too much more, possibly have all of them be just +1 if it’s too much of an increase, except crit % could be lower or have some cooldown in place.

For sup sigils it would gain +1 of the major stat of the gem. So a ruby sigil will have an added +1 Power to it.

Being able to upgrade your runes would also give players another viable reason to use the new gemstore upgrade component extractor. They could take the asc runes off one character and swap to an alt. So it could add to the sales of that, which would be a plus for Anet.

Somethign I’ve suggested right directly at the moment, when the first badge of lvl 500 craftign jobs were implemented.

ANet needs ti raise jewelers to 500 ASAP too as also Cooks.

With Jewelry 500 they should improve jewelry and make it finally more useful by adding alot of new recipes to craft:

- Ascendent/Legendary Rings
- Ascendent/Legendary Earrings
- Ascendent/Legendary Amulets
- Upgrade Jewels to Ascendent/Legendary Quality
- Upgrade Sigils to Ascendent/Legendary Quality
- Upgrade Runes to Ascendent/Legendary Quality

Anet has begun with Ascendent/Legendary Equipment, so they should end it also completely with adding those 2 qualities to everythign gear related of this game full.
Otherwise the implementation of the ascendent/legendary equipment would just look like halfheartedly beign implemented. like a switzer cheese full of concept design holes, if they just not end now everything, what they have started and this includes for me also Upgrades and Accessoires as also Back Items and Aqua Breathers, but BI’s and AB’s don’t fit into Jewelry

However, I dislike Shades suggestion, way too overcomplex everything what you descrive there.

Anet just needs to implement only the new missing tiers of upgrades, and thats it, so simple!!

Just add to this game

Ascendent Sigils, Ascendent Runes, Ascendent new missing Jewels, like Diamonds, Onyx, Moonstones, Aquamarines,Tourmalines, Rose Quartz and so on

As like they should add alot more of new cooking ingredients for new cookign recipes.
there are so many fruits, vegetables, herbs and so on ,that aren#t in the game, which exist in the real work, that could be taken for new higher tier cooking recipes, that just have much longer durations, or completely new effects, like changing effects for specific skills.

Currently cooking recipes create only items of fine to masterwork quality, if it are plates. With cooking raisign from 400-500 there should be also cooking results of rare to legendary quality.

Durations have definetly to increase, that we have cooking recipes that give you durations that last for example for 3 hours (masterwork), 6h (rare), 12hours (exotic) and 24hours (ascendent/legendary)
Same goes also for nourishments from constructeurs.

yes I know fully well, that impleementign all things liek this would mean more vertical progression, but then we would be finally finished with everything.

- 5 Dark Matter
- 3 Augur Stones

Ascendent Rune Recipes

- Superior Rune of X
- 250 Crystals
- 100 Thermographic Reagences
- 3 Augur Stones

Ascendant Jewel Recipe/Accessoire Example
- Damask Setting
- Damask Hook
- Sagacious Diamond Jewel (Diamond + Dark Matter + Damask Filigree)
- Inscription of NPC to define, which kind of Ascendent Accessoire we get.

They can easily just take all the rings and junk away from vendors and add them to the JC update. Not hard. Everything else you suggest is good too.
