Jumping Puzzles should be marked on the map

While I’m generally in support of greater player convenience, I have to disagree with this idea. Part of the appeal of jumping puzzles is just stumbling across them out in the world and going, “Huh… I wonder if this leads anywhere…” Having them clearly marked on the map would ruin that sense of discovery.
If you’re determined not to miss any jumping puzzles, you can always refer to the wiki which has all the known JP locations.
yeah… no thanks I like jumping puzzles the way they are.
Um no. There already are many methods to find their whereabouts. The rest one should be able to do.

While I agree to make them show on the map BUT only if you found them and completed them. Then I can see this happening. That-A-Away if i happen to the in the area I can Pop up the map and go" oh hey theres that jumping I found. lets do it again"

Having them show up as an icon after you do them is a good idea.

I wouldn’t mind them showing up after you have completed them. Before you complete them, no. Part of the puzzle is discovering where it is.

Agree with this. Jumping Puzzles on the map would be useful, but only after someone has discovered and completed them.
Jumping puzzles were supposed to be hidden areas with hidden treasures.
I dislike “fighting the environment” in general, but even I love stumbling on a jumping puzzle and getting the achievement for completing it. Seeing them on the map would be horrible. It shouldn’t even be an “option” you can chose to turn on and off for the map.
If you truly want to find jumping puzzles, just use the wiki or google & youtube.
What’s wrong with marking the jumping puzzle on the map after the character finds it on the map? That’s how every other part of the map UI works now. For WPs and POIs, you don’t have to get that close. So what if for JPs, you had to reach the beginning? (Even now, this usually unlocks one of the location names in white on the map, too.)
I don’t see the benefit of forcing people to use non-game resources to find things in the game. Also, while it might be a bit of a surprise for you the first time you stumble across a JP or a little mini-story (plenty of which aren’t documented anywhere as far as I can tell), you’ll know the next time you’re in the area…and your alts won’t have any trouble finding them either.
In short: where’s the harm in including it?
The point is, no one is -forcing- you to do the puzzles in the first place. So no one is -forcing- you to use out of game resources…People are merely saying there are many ways of finding them if you’re entirely too lazy to go look yourself. Their intent was to be hidden, urging people to explore these large beautiful maps. Maybe after they’ve been found to mark them…but even then I would say pointless. Generally speaking you dont forget where they are.
I like the idea of having them marked AFTER you have found and completed them. And I guess I am getting old because I sometimes DO forget where a particular one is. There are so many, and hopefully more to come!
Personally I think nothing should be marked (excluding waypoints) on any map. So no I don’t agree with this.

That’s why I said generally speaking :P There are some days I forget things I should know like the back of my hand. But I still dont wanna see more stuff cluttering my map
Having them AFTER completion is ok from my POV. I support this.

Sorry didn’t really know about the wiki thing. Still think it would be handy to have something on the map though, but whatever.
