Jumping puzles
Vistas should most definatly be focused on exploring not jumping, for the most part I think they have this balance right. There is of course a difference between having to press the space bar a few times and a jumping puzzle.
However, there are a handful that should be moved. These ones are clearly jumping puzzles, some even have the achievements to prove it. So it is not a huge issue, I think there are only 3 or 4 like this, so should perhaps not be a overly large task to resolve.
Norn can jump just as well as humans. The problem is that their model is really big and it makes it hard to judge jumps. I have yet to find a vista that requires a full on jumping puzzle, only mini jumping puzzles, but I’ll take your word for it. Try giving yourself swiftness. It can help with a lot of jumps.
Disagree. You don’t have to complete 100% of the map to play the game. If you need to jump but can’t do so to reach a vista, get better. You can actually improve your hand-eye coordination by doing things like this. Don’t whine; overcome.

The vast majority of the maps do not require jumping puzzles so why on earth do a couple do? It feels like a kick in the teeth.
I can’t leave an area until I have got 100%. I do not enjoy jumping puzzles, I find them incredibly difficult, but I do enjoy completion. I spent several hours doing one vista… was this fun? No. However, do be able to do what I enjoyed it was required. I couldn’t give a monkeys about my hand-eye coordination, I give a monkeys about fun.
I see your frustration as I main an Asura, and then I made a human alt character and even that made my perception of jumping for vistas insanely bad. Asura also jump just as well as any race, but as mentioned before the chracter model size screws with your perception. For me it’s like “My Asura SHOULDNT be able to make that” but the game gives it to me anyway because jump height is the same.
Also on a side note, from experience, most Vistas actually require very little skill in jumping. Just don’t try to “Skyrim/Oblivion jump” up the side of a steep cliff. Just circle around to find an easier route. 9/10 times the vistas all have a very easy path that you find after you tore your hair out in frustration trying the “hard, unworking” route.
I don’t like this jumping (or should I say falling) and scratching my head because I can’t find the way to the vista. Most of the vistas are OK but there are a few that are really frustrating.
In my opinion it would be far better if the resulting map completion reward would be more useful (I almost always get items for other classes and other levels)
The rewards for 100% map completes aren’t must haves… most end up as useless to your character. If you can’t get to a vista, ignore it and move on. It’s not necessary to play the game. If you suffer from some compulsion that you MUST get a full map complete, I wonder why you aren’t doing the jumping puzzles in every zone since they award achievements and chests with much better loot than most map completes.
As for buying this game as an RPG over an arcade game, I take it you haven’t mastered the combat system yet since it has more of a console-game feel than traditional RPGs because your defenses are active instead of RNG if you dodge/block/parry… plus if you don’t move constantly in combat and make frequent use of evasion you’re going to have a harder time with battles (as many of my friends accustomed to PvE in MMOs where you just go toe-to-toe with mobs and slug it out often bemoan the difficulty of combat in this game).
