Just 2 little things that would, I think, make pug dungeons much much better.

Some must fight so that all may be free.
I’m so good it hurts.

So, did my first AC run today in a pug – we didn’t get very far but heyho, that’s no problem.
What really struck me was the lack of two things I rely on in another MMO (not WoW I hasten to add) when it comes to dungeons.
1) In game voice chat – sure many players have guild/friends etc in various programs like xfire, ts3, vent etc. But 5 random people plucked from he world aren’t going to want to link through external chat programs sharing server addresses and passwords. Solution :- working in game voice chat for the party.
2) A target window. 1 player selects the mob to be assaulted everyone else sees on their screen which mob it is, and can therefore focus damage/buffs whatever on the right mob. So instead of 5 people whacking away on 3 different mobs, and pretty much getting nowhere, you pick one, kill it, rinse and repeat.
Given how much thought and detail and general awesome has gone into the development of this game, I am really, really suprised that these things, which to me, are a staple of any private instanced encounter were omitted. Hopefully, they can be added because otherwise I think pug groups will be quite arduous.

There is already team targeting functionality in place.
Ctrl-Click to target and ‘T’ to assist

Ah really? Thank you, I didn’t know that. How does that work in game? one person takes the role of “targeter” and everyone else does the ctrl/click “T” on that person?

As far as targeting goes, pretty much. One person can ctrl+click an enemy to call it, and everyone else just has to press T to target that enemy. Very simple.
