Guild Wars 2

I just spent the past couple of hours with a friend trying to get a juvenile wolf. I would personally greatly appreciate it if juvenile wolves were moved to a non-PvP location, or if one additional tamable one was added to a PvE zone. I don’t mean to whine or cry, but it was very frustrating trying to get a wolf that doesn’t look constipated (cough alpine wolf cough) and having to deal with getting ganked constantly. After talking to some other folks, I know I am not alone in this.

I am on Dragonbrand, and my realm’s starting point is I think the furthest away from the wolves that it could possibly be. My treks to the other end of the map were met with failure after failure. If we insist on having these wolves in a battleground, could we perhaps put a couple near each realm’s starting area?

I did try traveling with the main group for a while in the hopes that maybe safety in numbers would prove successful, but unfortunately that didn’t work either.

I haven’t had this issue yet but I support the idea that it shouldn’t be easier for any one server to get the pet than for another server.

i had the same feeling when i was going for the wolf, since i’m not PVP minded, and i hadn’t done much WvWvW at the time.
however over the past month, i’ve been doing WvWvW more often, and i have to say it is:
1) not as bad as you think, you just can’t expect to find the wolf the very first time
2) is reset every fridaynight, so i bet since the reset happened just 1 day ago, if you try it again now, your starting point will most likely be on the other side of the map, a lot closer to the wolves location. if not, wait another week till next reset, and see where your starting point lies.

i won’t tell you it’s easy, but it’s not as hard as you think.
