Guild Wars 2

So, I was thinking out loud to a guild mate of mine. We came up with a pretty cool idea.

During the last Living Story segments there have been skins you can acquire for a limited time associated with the Living Story. To acquire these skins you had to obtain the tickets from the chests, which were random. You could even pay real money for a ‘chance’ at getting the tickets. I’m personally not the biggest fan of this idea, but I’m sure there are those out there that are, and I have no problem with that.

Also, I’m sure there are people out there like myself, who are not really aiming for a Legendary yet and have absurd amounts of Karma saved up and dont really have anything to spend it on. I was thinking, what if the Living Story skins could be purchased with Karma. Making them similar to the Orr Temple vendors. Its limited time content, for people that really want the skins, this would reallly give them the opportunity to acquire them.

The bigger idea behind this though, I feel it would encourage people to get back into the world and do some more events for their karma. What does everyone else think about this? Shoot me down if its completely illogical, or help me improve the idea! Thanks for reading guys!

I gotta agree, I feel karma in it’s current state isn’t actually as useful as it should be. Except for legendary weapons and temple armor I’ve never felt the need to stockpile karma. I’m sure someone will point out some use I’m forgetting but I for one add my support to this!
