Karma for ressurecting.
While I love the idea of getting karma for reviving players, it’ll probably be unlikely that it’ll be added into the game. From what you’re suggesting any rev will give you karma, therefore it doesn’t have to be a player that’s getting revived. It could be npcs, I can’t think of any specific location off the top of my head but I do know for a fact that there are muliptle areas in the world where npcs died from fitting mobs and that’s an exploitable area right there. True it may take some time, but that’ll make it so easy to create a macro for and leave it on overnight to farm karma. The way I see it, Anet doesn’t want everybody getting legendaries so fast, therefore that’s part of a reason of the DR in DE, I like it that way as well, although not really happy about the system, it is comforting that Lion’s Arch won’t be all full of rainbows and black trails, and everybody having a legendary in the near future.
I heard that recently bots were throwing themselves of high places in Divinity’s Reach, where they would then be raised for the xp. This would give them a field day, since they would then get both XP AND be able to karma farm.
They’d have even more motive to keep it up.
Fazhu : The system could be implemented only to players. It is only to encourage players to be helpful towards others. We can get no exp and karma from reviving npc., or only exp from ressing NPC.
Entity : I said, that I wanted to be given karma INSTEAD of exp while ressing. AFAIK the ,,dead,, person does not get any exp for being revived. Hmmm maybe items from karma vendors should be also account bound only ? IDK . And as you said about botters making suicides in Divinty;s Reach – i was like LOL.
If the only reason for asking for this is because by reviving fallen players/npcs you aren’t getting as much of a reward for DE completion as you would by defeating the enemies then they simply need to adjust the contribution factors to give greater weight to those who spend most of the event doing that. After all it is still just as valid as those doing the damage because if others hadn’t revived them then not as much damage would have been done. In other words it is as if you did the damage the revived players did because you revived them to be able to. In fact I thought they said before that contribution was measured both ways by defeating enemies and support activity.
I’m personally fine with whatever reward or lack there of they decide to give us for reviving. Even if we got nothing at all I would still revive. In fact it would be a sad day if the greater community stopped reviving if there were no in game rewards for doing so. The incentive shouldn’t be the reward in game but the moral satisfaction for having helped someone else. But I don’t mean that in game there shouldn’t be rewards.
bad idea totally farmable and exploitable. i always revive. esspecially when theyre only downed. more players make the even quicker and difficult ones managable.
No! Friendship should be it’s only reward. The only kind of karma you should get from helping another is the kind that life brings you of it’s own accord.

I thought rezzing was suppose to give the same experience as killing especially in a DE. I haven’t been paying attention, but I am disappointed that it doesn’t have equal weight in figuring contribution.
I would like there to be karma/experienc given for each rez regardless of player character or NPC; even if it were only one per rez.
I would still rez anyway, that’s just the kind of person I am, but I think a small reward or equal weight in events should be in the game mechanics.
