I have to sign in waaaay too frequently.

It’s bothersome because I can open a bunch of topics in new tabs and when I move to view them, they are all “please sign in”, and I have to go back and try to figure out what they all were.

I suggest a check box on the login page saying “Keep me logged in”.

I agree and am actually seeing improvement (not enough). Though also want to stress out the other side. The log-in information is stored and is also the login information for your ingame account. So please do as the OP asks, but with NO compromise to account security.
