Hi,

I propose a game mode of sPvP where two teams of 3 or 5 compete, and each team chooses one member to represent them. The objective of the game is to kill the other team’s represntative.

I believe this game mode would introduce into GW2 a similar feature a limited amount of voices want — team deathmatches. An issue with deatmatches and GW2 many people have suggested is how dps-oriented the game is, and lacking a true healer would result in a mess of a game mode. I believe players would find it beneficial to have a representative that is best suited for self-survival or support, forgoing a lot of dps. Some players want a support role to be highly viable, and I believe this game-mode would do such a thing. It would also diversify sPvP from its single game-mode, conquest.

I see why this could be an issue. ANet would have to focus developement time on creating this, which could possibly distract from other things players want. I also understand this may cause the developers to balance the professions around this game mode, and who knows how that will affect other parts of the game.

I love GW2, and I hope it prospers for a very long time. Thank you for your time

What you’re suggesting sounds more like the most hated mode in Counter-Strike: Escort. In it, one team member is a VIP, who has no weapons, but a ton of armor. Objective is to escort him to a rendezvous point, while the other team aims to kill the VIP.

A setting where you have a “team leader” and that leader dying is the only way to lose, you’ll just end up with everyone picking bunkers for their leader and having the rest zerk it out.
