Hi there,

There are numerous complaints on reddit, these forums, and otherwise about the missing LFG tool. It is really a necessity in the modern MMO world. Accessibility is the reason why horrible games like WoW succeed.

Please, make this happen. I have paused playing until it comes in as doing dungeons is just my (and many others’) favorite thing to do.

Yes thats right i’m one of those people that don’t like to /map LFG for an hour just to get something. I think a group finder would be easy and a fast way to find people world wide to join in on the fun.

They already stated that they would (look into) add(ing) a groupfinder, from what i recall anyways.

I’d like to see an IN GAME group finder as well, I’m so sick of people telling me to go to web sites to find groups. It’s extra work that a simple interface added in could fix, so I don’t have to constantly minimize, type up posts and wait around till some one messages me, etc…

Also, the forum search tool should be used.

The wiki section that shows improved group finding tool is in the “mentioned” section. That section also mentions housing which they have stated they are not working on.

As for searching the forums, I’m pretty sure this has been suggested since the beta, along with fixing the broken camera. They have made several patches to the game since beta, and neither of these have been addressed. IMO these should be high on the priority list.

Don’t pause. Keep playing, just have gw2lfg.com in the background. Until they can implement this into their actual game it is the fastest and easiest way to put together a group, since it makes no concideration for server.

That’s true. But if we don’t take a stand against something so simple that should be implemented I fear we won’t ever get it.

However I do appriciate the link. And it only goes to show how much demand there is for something like this! We shouldn’t have to go to a website for it.

Now if we could just get them to add this AND raids this game would be perfect …

Yes, I understand there have been other threads about this, and that they have acknowledged it. But they still haven’t implemented it. Most games launch with this very basic feature.

However I believe in this thread we can rally more people as I am trying to post on other sites and such. I want them to see how many people really want this tool and that we want it soon!

So keep this going people!

I have used the third party page and it is a little annoying tbh. Nothing like getting people together and getting some nasty messages from players who are upset the group filled and telling you to take the posting down.

At the very least there should be way for players to flag themselves as wanting to group up and what types of activities they are interested in because standing in the completed zone spamming LF1M is a little annoying and it kinda goes against the design philosophy of “not waiting to have fun” when you are doing just that just not while looking for specific roles.

If I had my choice (assuming they don’t add an in game lfg soon) I’d just have everyone use my websites chat page for a lfg chat box for the server im on heh
