I just spent an hour sitting outside AC trying to get a group for story mode. Was going to run a friend through who just got the game.

He eventually got sick of waiting and logged off. Not a good way to impress new players.

We need a way to quickly and efficiently get groups for dungeons. Spamming chat is not fun at all. Especially when you eventually get blocked for talking too much.

While nobody can argue the convenience of opening a window, clicking a button, and getting into a randomly assembled dungeon run 20 minutes later, I’ll still always prefer it when a game encourages community interaction by requiring players to put together groups the old-fashioned way. Of course, I certainly don’t think of Guild Wars 2 as a good example of an MMO designed with a focus on community, so maybe it doesn’t really matter and a dungeon finder would fit right in.

Personally, I would like ArenaNet to address the cause of the issue; namely, that there aren’t really any rewards for doing a story mode after the first time. That’s why it’s practically impossible for players to get a story-mode group together if we missed the boat during the initial weeks after launch when more people were in the appropriate level range. I believe they mentioned that they’ll be looking into ways to reward players who go back and redo story modes with their friends/guilds, so it should happen eventually.

Yea ive noticed that you get 1 BOP yellow item and a couple silver. I think it would be more worth it if the yellow was BOE and the monetary reward was increased. (maybe 1 gold per run at level 80)
