Might be your computer not rendering right
Have you not been in any large scale fights? it takes a few moments for all the player models to load into the clipping range. If just the names loaded, it would allow the players to still know “oh crap, there are 100 people outside that tower.. don’t jump out” instead of.. whats all that lag? i don’t see anyone outside this tow….GLACH ack! i’m dead, what killed me? oh, there they are, the player models finally loaded" =)

I also noticed in some games there is a basic character model that gets loaded by default until their regular appearance is loaded, that might be nice. It is annoying in other games, but a nice feature simply because you see people.

Your not alone, and yes it may be the PC not rendering right….
but I believe its more of too much to render with all the spell effects and numerous PC/NPCs to draw.
This often will happen in PvE at many dynamic events as well.
Numerous people have requested options to turn off / down spell effects to give more GPU power to rendering the actual opponents.
i would love to be able to turn off spell effects.
all i would care to see, is either a RED ring, or a WHITE ring ont he ground, everything else is just fluff!

Please can we have less invisible players? They are unfun.
