Please, larger parties.

I really don’t care about the dungeons, but I want larger parties for PvE. Right now I’m playing with 4 friends, and another 2 will buy the game soon. We all want to party together. It’s an easy request. You can keep the 5 person party for dungeons, but make it larger in PvE and WvW

Originally our guild was hoping that if someone was a Commander we would be able to form larger squads up to 20 in size for PvE and WvW. Very disappointed that this was not the case at all, even 10 would be nice!

Perhaps that’s something Anet could look at. It’s an MMO after all, I don’t think there should be such barriers in place to stop people enjoying and playing together.

it would be nice, or if we can’t have larger parties i would like for example a team formed by different parties, so you can be a party of five but you can see blu dots from team mates and know if they need heals or ress

Yes, not for dungeons. But for PvE and maybe WvW. We try to get together in groups of larger then 5 and we can’t keep track of everyone. Once the groups get separated it’s hard to get back together. I don’t see why PvE can’t have larger groups. Is not necessary to restrict group size like in dungeons and it hinders the game’s sociability. If you don’t want to increase group size, then let us be able to see friends and Guild members dots on the map.

Nope. You can already be more than 10+ player in an area (exception: instances like personal story, dungeons, etc., but that’s not the topic here).
The areas scale acc. to the amount of player.
The main problem is, that you cannot keep track of your party with the limit of 5. If you are playing in a larger group you always have to rely on other programms (teamspeak, etc) to keep the group together (and even then it takes a lot of discipline to do so).
That is unfortunate, when the solution is simple (or at least seems to be) …
Right now GW2 does not encourage to play with your friends. So far it is a great solo game that you play with other human players instead of NPC…

Hopefully the Guild Missions will allow 10- or 20-strong parties?
Not seen any details on it, but surely must be able to be more than 5 in a group for a guild mission?

How about have parties of 5 that can join up and be represented as a party that has been added to your party instead of another player. E.G. your party team consists of you, player2, player3, player4, player5, party2, party3 (party names may need revision to more easily identify each other though) etc and when your party enters smaller dungeons, parties split to their smaller player party subsets. Each member of each party within your party can be tracked of by mousing over that partys’ representation (a party avatar), which would popup that partys’ players info and avatars etc. Each sub party could have a life bar too to represent the total combined life of that party. These super parties could then more easily zerg the battlefields with easier coordination.

Even if you tie it to the Commander status! Or even Guild status!

It would be Awesome (from a Guild Leader’s perspective) to be able to group all of my guildees when we hit WvW. It really makes meeting back up if anyone gets separated soooo much easier! Or when someone signs on and wants to join us in WvW.

WvW is fun and it’s better with friends.
This would be a minor tweak that gave a high return on investment in terms of appreciation and use.

You can already have 20 man parties in WvW with commanders…. You don’t need them in PvE though, it would wreck the balance of a lot of things.

Its better than most people’s reason for getting commander currently.

And the only things that scales are events, not regular mobs. So if you have 10-20 people in a group rolling through the maps, enemies will not live long enough to be tagged by all of said groups, and people will complain.

Then they’d have to increase mob attack/defense/hp in order to account for the larger groups, which would make it harder for solo or small groups to kill. And they couldn’t dynamically adjust every mob in the game because it would require ridiculous amounts of server resources.

Lack of flexible grouping systems for players is not adequate. They need to have private squads.
