--> 'Last Online' feature discussion. <--
Presumably it would make people sad when they log in after 8 months to find they have been kicked from the guild.
It’s really annoying that we have to use kitten backwards systems like facebook checkins every 2 weeks just to prune the dead weight.

Yea, or external websites to even find a group for a lot of activities.
As a guild leader, I certainly am experiencing the same frustration. I hope they implement this as soon as possible.
Yep same here really.
So far I believe they only way to tell if someone has been online or not is when their location text changes to unkown after, what … 2 weeks ?
I have been asking for this for a long time in numerous threads, however they tend to get buried quickly.
Right now, I have to depend on an external website to see activity levels of my guildies…
I can see what level your highest character is, I can see what crafts you have maxed, and I can see how many achievement points you have. Whoop-de-do! While those things are semi-important, a “last online” date and a reliable “join” date would be grounds for a guild banquet will all the fixin’s….
pretty sure in the last interview it was mentioned nothing was being worked on or planned with the Guild UI atm.

Wow that sucks.
Do ANet just not want us to have a way of seeing how many people have left their precious game? Without any other kind of explanation this seems like the most likely answer.

Wrong, the live stream last night (CET time) was a very different story.
Infact they stated that they will be working on the Guild UI for a bit before relocating staff to PvE content.
more deadly than any that walks this earth. Put aside the Ranger.
Become who you were born to be. I give hope to men. I keep none for myself.

Actually it changes everyone to unknown after updates so if if you kick people on that theory you could kick active players! That is the only time it switch’s it!
I forgave the lack of this feature for the first few months.
It’s now 2013. Give us the means to manage our guilds. This isn’t some crazy feature we’re asking for…this is the bare minimum of what should be expected for guild management.
“A release is 7 days or less away or has just happened within the last 7 days…
These are the only two states you’ll find the world of Tyria.”
This is one thing i will not defend anet on.
Its ridiculous that standard guild features (above all else) have not been implemented yet. Motd upon login, last login and other management features should have made it in at launch, never mind this last patch which specifically dealt with a new guild feature.
Anet sort it out. Its kittening stupid that guilds are adopting a work around on their own, so any reason you would have to not include this feature is mute anyway.
To anyone who doesnt know, my guild and alot of others have been making a inactive rank, downgrading everyone they havnt seen in a while and are no waiting to finish the month and delete everyone who hasnt come online and declared that their active. Couple that with the lack of Motd upon login and i think a few guildies are gonna be pretty peeved off come march.

No LOL… I seriously doubt it.
Please, only use your tin-hat when you have a good theory and evidence to back it up.
Hey guys, just posting here to bump this back up to the first page so it doesn’t die like the other posts about this.
ANET needs to get this in game with the next update. Shouldn’t be to hard, they already have a model for it in GW1.

I just hope the mods don’t ninja this thread and infract us all for speaking up.
Well we need to keep this thread on the first page so more people can post on it. Maybe even change the topic a little bit to include the other Guild features everyone wants i.e. Guild Calendars, Guild Mail, etc. etc. That way we can get more post and hopefully keep in on the front page so ANET see if like the others ones that have been pushed back. The longer it stay in focus on the front page the better.
Edit: Ok, some more ideas we should include in this topic about Guilds, Guild Capes and Alliances between Guilds. Everyone talk about it here.

It is such a simple feature in the guild panel for Leaders and Officers, and so necessary in managing a Guild. Come on ANet, seriously, implement it already.

Huzzah!

I hate how they dump great discussions in the “Suggestions” forum, where they all go to die -_-

Wow, I can’t believe I’ve just had to report a Moderator to Community Special Operations. Oh the irony…
This is simply a must to have. We have a guild of 500 peoples since launch and we simply cant manage it. We just roll a dice and kick!
Do a search… it’s amazing how many times this has been suggested and asked for.
100% agree they need to show a member’s “last online / represented” feature.
yeah.. i myself made a thread about it and it got eaten by the forum!

They should have it available for everyone, in my opinion, preferably as just another column in the roster.
I’m totally with you. As a guild leader, I need to know last time a guildie was online.
Ci Assediamo Da Soli [SIGH] ~ Officier
Come on ANet, it’s not like we are asking for something unreasonable.
I really like how peoples make a lot of stupid suggestion and the good one get slowly eaten by the forum! But lets Bump this thread !
Yea, I think I’ve been infracted twice now for the sake of this thread. Seems like we are trying to fight an uphill battle against the moderators to try and get this problem noticed.
