Commander Saiyrah – PiNK – Tarnished Coast
Hey there Anet,
First I’d like to say that I absolutely love the game – I love the difficulty on a lot of the aspects of it (especially that Halloween clock tower! Bravo!)
I wanted to make a suggestion for future legendary progressions and completions.
Does anyone remember old Everquest? Remember how hard it was to get the class epics? You needed a group of about 20-30 buddies to take down quite a few chunks of it – making the story and quest feel very difficult and progressive. I’d like to see that implemented into GW2.
Make it so that sections of the quest have their own events that you would have to spawn and complete with your friends. This creates a feeling of community and allows to build quite a few friendships which will then benefit when YOU are trying to get your Epic/Legendary.
EQ had a very big faming aspect as it had very, very rare drops and peices in order to complete it. For example, a rare spawn in Charnors Castle was required deep inside of it (very difficult to get into due to very hard monsters around) to get a peice for the Monk Epic. It spawned specifically at night and specific other mobs had to be downed in order for it to spawn.
The sense of excitement when getting that “bone piece” was a huge factor in EQ keeping me for 7 years.
I hope you guys do something similar or at least take this into consideration
