I had this idea for a legendary hammer and the possible effects attached to it.
I’m not an artist so I’ll leave the actual art to someone more talented.

These legendaries would be based upon the existing hammers Genesis and Entropy (not necessarily the actual skins but the demonic/holy aspect). The Genesis and Entropy skins could then be reused for the precursors.

The effects I think would work well are:

  • Footprints:
    These seem almost like a requirement for legendaries so I’ll mention them here.
  • Blast prints:
    Leave a mark when the wielder of the hammer uses a blast finisher. As these will be triggered less often than footprints, they can also last a bit longer.
  • Increase holy/demonic aspect with kills:
    Based upon the stacking on-kill sigils, the holy or demonic effect around the hammer would become more intense with the number of kills. This would of course only be cosmetic.

Other possible effects:

  • Add a holy/demonic edge around the guardian symbols and wards.
  • Some kind of holy/demonic hand effect on knockdown(Backbreaker) and knockback(Banish).

The hand effect is probably the most difficult to get right. If it’s to small it’s not very interesting, but if it’s to big it might make these skills to easy to dodge in WvW and PvP.

The effects I would really like to see are the blast prints and the intensifying aspect.
