Hi, my dear GW2 friends, specially from Development Team. Is it possible to have Legendary Weapons to be sold by yourselves (GW2 itself), through gems? I’m saying this, because it will be unfortunately impossible for me to get one of them. I must reach that account medal: Legendary Item equipped. Thanks!

They already do sell them tbh, they “only” cost about 3000$.

Yes you can already buy them, here’s how: buy gems, convert them into gold, buy from TP, easy as that. Like Kilrain said, only about 1000000 gems :P

If you really must resort to buying a legendary, than you don’t really deserve one. I understand people have lives outside of GW2, but if you can’t put the time in, then you shouldn’t have one. Legendary weapons are for the most dedicated players who have put countless hours into the game, simply buying one defeats that purpose, and makes the accomplishment null & void.

I understand all your answers, indeed. And I agree with great dedication linked to having a legendary weapon. But ArenaNet should then wipe that account medal (Equipping a Legendary) from login screen. I’d be happy with this. We can’t get legendary weapons because of infinite money and a life outside without spare time to play. But ArenaNet reminds us of legendary items whenever we see login screen. So, my suggestion could be: WIPE PLEASE THAT ACCOUNT MEDAL (Legendary one). What do you think, partners?

I don’t know though…I’m happy seeing it achieved on my log-in screen. It wasn’t as difficult as people make it out to be. I saved all t6 mats I got from day 1, and converted all 50 stacks of t5 into 6, and did CoF paths 1 & 2 once a day for ectos. Been here since august 25th and just got the pred a week or two ago.

So about 5 months to get one by just saving and not selling your mats to buy other things. Unless you’re in an absolute rush to fill out that achievement then yeah you’ll have to buy gems. Don’t forget they are doing that scavenger hunt thing for a precursor in a month or two so you won’t have to buy one, that cuts down tremendously on the amount of $ you need.

I plan on equipping a Legendary item, so the account-medal should stay.

If you only ever plan on making Legendaries for profit, I have to wonder why you don’t go to a game more geared towards economy like Eve online.

I don’t agree with “easy” to get Legendary weapons but I fully support the ‘Account-medal’ ereased or switched out with something else that is not needed any grind on constant looking at Wiki to acheave.

I give rats bum about the legendary weapon but I don’t like to see unfinished deeds on my login.

It is still unknown, the scavenger hunt is currently the project name for some kind of system that will give players more opportunities to find precursor weapons. You will just have to wait and see until they reveal more details.

If this were true they wouldn’t be sellable on the TP.
