In the Edge of Destiny book by J. Robert King, there is a Arena that Logan, Rytlock, and Caithe fight in. I am just curious if this arena will be implemented into the game? If it were, it could be similar to the challenge missions in Guild Wars 1, with daily, weekly, and monthly rankings.
You know what it needs to be?
It needs to be a king of the hill type of arena where its Free for all.
And the person who can manage to open the chest, which would take atleast 5 minutes to open would win the contents, and not just some crappy blue item, let it be something exotic or something from the game store.
Heres how it works, the event happens once every hour or two.
Players can freely enter the arena where they become targetable for attacks
Unlocking the chest is a progression, so any previous attempts to unlock adds up to the contribution of unlocking the chest.
The winner is the one who is unlocking the chest when it reaches 100 percent unlocked.
All participants will get Karma for competing and maybe a small consolation prize while the winner gets the epic loot.
The arena has to be a daily event of your character versus one or more mobs. Your level gets scaled down to highest leveled mob on the field and when you defeat all the mobs you get to open the Arena’s Splendor chest.
Day one for you character will be some low level mobs from the level 1-15 areas and it will progresivly get harder and harder each day.
The loot you get from the chest will be scaled to the level and difficulty of the mobs.
I can understand that no one from Anet saw the post because so many people post on this forum. So I guess I’ll just continue to post on it untile Anet reads it.
I actually like this idea
I do NOT like the king of the hill idea proposed by Rizzy.
But the idea of having that LA arena, and fighting various creatures in there.
Life doesn’t stop being funny just because the dead can’t laugh.
i actually searched for that arena, and in fact the order of whispers questline even deals with it (or more specifically, with the guy that keeps the animals that are used in the arena), but the best i found was a 3D version of ANet’s logo with two minipets fighting.
I like the idea, however Lion’s Arch gets too much attention. Nothing for the other main cities but for 100% world completion or keg brawl in Hoelbrak. I know black citadel has an actual arena you can roam but nothing happens in there. Maybe this could take place there as well? Fight against the different branches of charr legions against pve mobs to beat their score or something and get just regular loot for it. Only availible once a day to keep rewards controlled.

The only problem is that the arena is already apart of the Lions Arch Lore.
