List of Concerns - Read!
Where as i agree with most of these topics, number 2 seems to stick out the most. I found this extremely frusterating and ended up having to refer to a GW2 Wiki. I would like to see more detailed descriptions.
There’s some you don’t agree with?
I would modify one to show the players only when youre down, other wise it wouldnt really matter…or have it a toggle.
No, not that i don’t agree, but haven’t yet become a problem for me specifically. I tend to only revive those whom are next to me or in view. The only account bound items I’ve come across have been BLTP items. (Which when cash is a possible currency, i found this ok.) Oh, well the SP one should definately be addressed… i missed that. Finally I’ve never had the need to type in a different language, but i could see where it might come into play.
It doesn’t make sense to only see players when you’re down if you can see them all the time. It’s a non-intrusive way to allow players who want to go out of their way to help someone to do so, while allowing players like yourself, Aeson Thackery, to continue to help people only when it’s convenient.
To be honest it’s a slight resource loss and that’s about it. If it were to remove gold, exp and then make you repair your EQ it might be a little more important. First of all seeing all players on the mini map doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t warp away at the last second. 1.Unless you alert them how will they know you’re coming to raise them? just cause they see a dot heading in thier direction isn’t necessarily going to make them stay.2. If you do alert them, why wouldn’t they wait? 3.No matter what after being defeated you have to repair your eq. Warping to a nearby WP costs very little resources and saves a lot of time for everyone.
I think you’re wrong on almost all accounts.
1. If people knew they were going to get up and didn’t have to warp spending money and potentially warping away from where they want to go, they will more likely stay. For the few that want to warp anyway, that’s fine. They can warp, but I’m willing to bet the majority of people will stay and allow to be helped. I’ve never seen anyone warp after someone started getting them up.
2. Armor doesn’t need to be repaired the moment you have a damaged piece (only when it’s broken).
I’ve seen people type in Korean, so you can type in other languages. Maybe your language is not supported.
There are WPs yards away from eachother. I do see where it would be helpful if someone hadn’t gotten the WP near where they were defeated – sure. But like i said earlier, ofcourse they don’t leave when they’re being helped because they know they’re being helped. But seeing a dot near you or coming your way doesn’t make a person 100% sure you’re heading to revive them.
Right, armor doesn’t need to be repaired at all broken or damaged. But after being defeated EQ is inevitably broken or damaged. So i find unless you’re nearer than the nearest WP, you’re really not saving them much…I’m not disagreeing with this suggestion at all. Number 2 just takes priority for me, that’s all.
I agree someone heading your way does not mean they are going to revive you, you get a message if someone is reviving you personally I prefer a clean map. Stats the general idea is there or at least I understand it – it’s not a game for the traditional mmo number crunching thankfully. Why should we be able to customise all controls? Considering there aren’t groups for events 20 ppl pinging the map and doodling is more confusing and annoying than helpful.Very few items are account bound and a nicer touch than having these items soulbound. Bugged skill points being fixed as we type. I assume you can use the language you buy the game in? I’ve seen a myriad of languages in overflow servers.

The point was that people will often warp even if you’re near them ABOUT to start reviving them because they don’t know you’re there. Most people will see the thing telling them they’re being revived, but they quite often won’t realize someone’s coming to rez them.
If I am ABOUT to start reviving you, then I’m clearly in sight. Most people would not warp at that point.
And the rest of your post supports my original post: People don’t realize others are coming to revive them, which mini-map icons would help.

Item descriptions are terrible and unfortunately, GW2 Wiki doesn’t even elaborate most of the time. This weekend, for example, I wanted to know how much health the Superior Sigil of Blood gave. The wiki doesn’t say anything:

Also, say I want to know what item a recipe makes. I want to see what the recipe for Berserker’s Imbued Darksteel Inscription makes, what it’s for, where to get it, and anything else that would give me knowledge about the item.

Zero info.
I know the Wiki is growing, but it’s still in pretty poor shape. Right now I need to scour through multiple sites until I can find a valid answer.
Don’t even get me started on DPS.
