I love GW2. I am thoroughly enjoying as much of the content as possible. As someone who is in video game design (artist and minor development), I understand about some of the hiccups our community is complaining about. Here is one problem and an idea I had that I would like to present to ANet.

Problem: Living Story lore is disconnecting with players and 2 week releases are feeling a bit overwhelming for some players.

Solution: Why not run the Living story like a TV show or anime story arc? Have a set season with particular stories that will run for like 14 weeks and break.

I think this would benefit the game and players because:
1. It packages the content in easier to digest chunks and presents the content in a more manageable way so users can follow along.
2. Archiving. ANet has been creating gorgeous animations for the story. Perhaps you can take snap shots and create comic book like pages of the entire story players can read back on, even if they missed the actual content.
3. Time to appreciate and reflect. I know that in order to make money, ANet needs people to play the game and purchase content. I believe that with the WvW and sPvP, there is some wiggle room for PvE. People who enjoy PvE typically enjoy the story and lore behind it. No need to rush more of it out. I would like a chance to discuss “last week’s episode” or have some time to reflect on an entire story arc.

It might even be cool to have a players character go through like an in game questionnaire (via NPC/story) to see how they were affected by the story and have it affect their character. Then tie that into that comic pages archive idea and players can find themselves in the story.

Ok, this is starting to tumble all over itself. I hope you find this idea helpful. I love this game and wish I had a hand in making it.
