I know it’s a small thing that some people don’t mind, but in guilds, it’s hard to welcome or greet people who have logged in. In most of the other MMO’s out there, there’s a chat indicator when a member in the guild logs in. Of course only when people are representing will notify the rest of the guild who has logged in at the time, this will help new members in the guild feel more welcome and a basic component for better user interaction. Also people don’t like constantly checking the guild menu to see who has logged on or who wasn’t on before, such the duties of guild leaders or anyone who just wants to talk to people.

Also, for big guilds, you could input more chat options to mute out more notifications or even have the option to change chat colours. e.g making your party chat red and guild chat green. But having the option to mute the notification when members log in for larger guilds. The notification when logging in can also be account or character based.
