Lore Codex
You mean like reading and finding out lore, there is a ton of that in the game already
some of it is easy to find, some of it is pretty cryptic and some of it requires at least a bit of knowledge about Guild Wars 1 universe, there’s also the pieces of lore written in new krytan language with hints about people in history and sometimes they even contain clues as to where to find certain lore related things.
The game used to have lore books in early beta that you could collect. I believe all the skill points where you could commune with it gave a skill point book that gave you lore on the area or the surrounding creatures. Why this was taken out I have no idea.

Well, something similar to this but having them behave more like collectibles that would fill out a codex. Sort of like a menu you could go through and read at your leisure.

It’s a nice idea but kind of reminds of swtor’s codex bad memories I wouldn’t want something like that in GW2 to be honest it was a pain in swtor itself.
But I’m open to suggestions there might be a way to implement it without making it mandatory or grindy.
Ya, they have most of this stuff written already anyway :P
But I would love to go to some menu and read about the lore behind these places of power I commute with. Now I have no idea what most of them mean anyway, it’s just a place to get a skill point.
