They do, but the name doesn’t change. It’s weird, but just the way GW2 does it at the moment.

Just a random PuGgle.

As to pets… A Ranger can carry two pets just not both active. Keeping an eye on the active one and swapping out before it dies is a skill choice that can be very useful when done right.

The main complaint I have regarding pets is I am a level 80 and still have a Juvenile Pet. That is like running around with an Armored Personnel Carrier armed with a
sling shot. The pets should Level Up with the character.

Agreed, it can be very useful to switch them out before one dies. It can mean the difference sometimes between getting that kill, or paying up some silver for repairs because you died. I also agree with the pet leveling. They should level up with the main character.

The one thing about the pets (Bears) that bugs me is at that one moment where you just barely got out of a battle by the skin of your teeth, and the bear runs off starting trouble and bringing it back to you before you have time to heal. When my bear does this mess, I leave him right where he is and walk the other way. My thinking is " he’ll catch up".

I agree with the idea to more or less “pack away” your pet.

A warrior with short bow…. that sounds awkward..
A thief with a long bow…. that doesn’t sound like a thief..
