Mailing between accounts "excessive?"
I guess you’ve never gotten the spam emails from the gold sellers? Sorry while you may want to bury your head in the sand and say there is no reason for it, there very much is.
If you want to spread your stuff across multiple accounts this is the price you pay. Each email can hold 5 attachments, so that’s 50 stacks an hour … that is hardly limiting.
Without the limitations the spamming would be far far worse.

To begin with, I don’t understand why you would make a snide comment about hiding my head in the sand. What was the point of that, I wonder?
In any case, that being said — If you’re going to talk about what constitutes a “limitation” in gameplay then in the same context I would say if you think it’s more of an inconvenience to click delete on gold spam emails than to have to wait an hour to continue to mail between accounts then I disagree with you. I would rather delete 10 gold spammers every time I log in, especially since that takes about a few seconds.
That’s just a personal preference of mine. It’s not an indictment of your opinion. Your opinion is your own, have at it.

Obviously, there should be a white-list functionality for mail. Or no limitation if the “person (account)” you are sending to has added You as a contact/friend.
On the other note, the devs could pretty easily set up a spam filter based on the actual-content of the mail and not the lowest-common-denominator amount-of-mail limit.
Heck such a filter wouldn’t even need to alert the spam-sender that the mail wasn’t sent.
May I ask why you chose to have multiple accounts rather then adding character slots? For the additional storage and 5 character slots?
I’m also going to have to disagree with you: I prefer the limitation that is in place right now. It’s not perfect, but it does put a limit on what sellers are able to do.
I’d much rather inconvenience a few players than be more convenient for gold sellers.
Yes, there are lines that can be crossed with too much limitation, but I personally don’t believe that this crosses them.
“A release is 7 days or less away or has just happened within the last 7 days…
These are the only two states you’ll find the world of Tyria.”

I let my daughter use the 1st account I had & bought another for myself. After she was done playing the game I kept both accounts.
Gold sellers are a pain in any game, admittedly; but again, as I’ve said, it’s never taken me more than a few seconds to delete their mail when I have it in my inbox. So as annoying as it is, it has never been time consuming to deal with at all. In that sense, there is no inconvenience as far as time, gameplay,etc.. Gold spammers have never interfered with my enjoyment of a game, ever. Very often when I log into this game there are gold spammer emails in my inbox. Not as much as I’ve found in other games, but it’s really a matter of this game taking me 2 seconds to delete them & other games taking me 5 seconds. Those 3 seconds don’t make any difference.
Anyone on your friend list you should be able to mail to with inpunity. It is rediculous to limit mail to 2 mails before getting the blocked mail issue.
Flat removal of the limit, NO.
Friends list removal of limit, YES.
I’d rather deal with the handful of gold spammer mails I get every few days than let them mass mail thousands of messages to every player every day.
The game should detect if you both have each other added as friends then the limit is lifted, if one or both do not have the other as a friend the limit remains.
You could always create a dummy guild and have both accounts join it…buy a little influence and get a guild bank….
Then you can freely transfer items using the guild bank…..50 items at a time.
Logic will never win an argument on the forums…..only a sense of entitlement will.
I ran into this last evening helping out a Guildie on mats since I was maxed out in certain areas. What a pain in the kitten
I don’t mind excessive mail warning when I excessively mail, but sometimes I get it after sending one mail, and have to wait over a minute before I can send another one. Most aggravating when I have to full bags or I am transferring goods to an alt (via a guild mate etc.).

The current limit is too low.
Example: I have a stack of potions that I want to share with my dungeon team. I cannot send out 4 mails each with 5 potions. I can send out 2 or 3 mails, then I have to wait.
It’s a bit silly. Please change the rules, or make them “smarter”. Examples of “smarter”: A higher limit when sending mails to players on my current team, or in my current guild.

That’s exactly what I just did, actually.

I like this solution. Current system is absurd. Successful solutions give the player (customer) as much freedom as possible. Excellent systems allow for creativity. Current system limits the player to control the competition (gold spammers) = Bad solution.
