I love the idea of adding new weapons to each of the classes so I figured I would suggest one that incorporates a gw1 play style of the mesmer (necro’s could do it too) that centered around boosting your opponent at a cost to them. I also wanted to incoporate the old play style of damaging enemies by removing their boons.

1 Skill) Chain(3).
-Corrupt Boon-Damages and Applies random boon + condition to target
Possibilities:
Protection (3 seconds)+3 vulnerability (10 seconds)
Regeneration (3 seconds) + poison (5 seconds)
Fury (5 seconds) + Weakness (10 seconds)
Vigor(5 seconds) + Immobilize (2 seconds)
-Inspired Boon-Damages. Summons a clone for every 3 boons on the target. Cones use
-Shatter Boon- Damages. Damage is increased by 5% for each boon on the target. Remove on one random boon.

2 Skill) Reckless Haste (5 seconds)
Applies Swiftness (5 seconds) + Torment (7 seconds) to the target.

3 Skill) Calculated Risk (10 seconds)
Applies 2 stacks of might (4 seconds)+ 4 stacks of confusion (6 seconds)
OR
Applies 2 seconds of quickness + 5 stacks of confusion (5 seconds)

I felt like this item would bring out some of the old enchantment removal skills that I loved to bring along on gw1. It could be combined with null field or arcane thievery (a skill that is hard to justify bringing along currently) for a boon/condition build; or if the user wants to punish the target for using boons it can rapidly summon clones for shatters and deal increased damage for each boon.

I wanted this weapon to have the trade-off aspect that were associated with the original reckless haste and calculated risk. I like the idea of quickness + confusion because I know how much that has frustrated me when I use a quickness skill only to find out that I had confusion on me, but I don’t know if that would be TOO risky considering once you give them quickness there is nothing you can do to take it back as you can with might.

I chose the boon/condition combos and durations to try to make them even so it really came down to how the user spec’d to determine how they used the weapon. Yes I would think that someone who wanted to do a lot of flat damage would build into chaos or signet of midnight so that they keep boons on the target for the clone summoning and increased damage, or if someone wanted to lean towards conditions they would build into illusion/domination + signet of domination.
