Why? Because it is about stats, not skin. I rather have a skin be an RNG drop and I will be very surprised and happy about it like a child opening his present.

Many people were sold that max stats = easy to get. Not that max stat gear is grindy to get but you don’t have to get it if you like being subpar. Ascended Gear is now the new Max stats gear.

I see that most replies are from people that wants to have max gear = easy to get.

How I would change this:

-New Ascended Equipments with boring names that can be bought with tokens/crafted way cheaper than in the Mystic Forge with zero RNG account/soul bound items. Instead of names like Rurik Royal signet, you get names like Berserker Ring. Both with the same stats but one feels a lot more special. I would even go as far as equipping the RNG Ascended drops will do some particle effects or open some cosmetic emotes.

-Ascended guild backpacks Backpiece be worth 10g on the WvW vendor, which double the price of exotic backpacks.

This is already planned and has been stated several times.
They will add the ability to get Ascended gear from several sources including WvW so it will most likely be the same as Exotics.

But they’re easy to get.

They are already easy.. just get to lvl 10.. first time I ran lvl 10 I got a ring.. second time I ran lvl 10 I got another ring.. :p

Most people don’t and won’t have the money to do the forge recipes to get a full set of ascended gear.

They already said they are looking into this. Just like they will add this gear to many kinds of gameplay.

If that is true? i dont know , i personally got 0 trust in Anet so i would call it 50/50.

If i think there is a need for this? Yes i think there is , after all i got better than to do than to farm forever. And i remember Anet saying i would not need to do that …

But then again … we return to Anet word having any value heh.
