Make Commander Seals a Badge of Merit
Guilds must set theyr commanders. A player without a guild behind, can’t lead a borderland.

I agree. We need to up the prices with something that shows that they have experience and the motive to work up the amount of money required. I’ve thought the same thing every time I see a bad commander on the battle field. We don’t need rich people, or someone who’s just popular with other players, we need someone who has played and experienced enough to know what they’re doing.
I agree with this thread. At this point you could have never even touched PvP and become a commander and lead your whole team to their death.
I see where your going with this, but just because I spent the past two months getting 500 badges of honor doesn’t make me a good commander either. Unforcantly there is no real way to assure a commander rank is justly served.
As recently I out commanded two commanders and achieved something in one hour they couldn’t in 5 hours, I don’t have my commander rank either.
Some months and daylis wvw achivements that gives special badges. or something similar.
Other thing will be to all commander wipe the titles and pay it back the gc.

Yes, there is no real way to assure it’s justly served, however, it shows that you AT LEAST have some experience. I mean, obviously it worked for you, right?
I agree and I am tired of being bossed around by a former gold farmer in eternal battlegrounds trying to convince us that yes we can take stonemist castle with 5 people and hold it.
You should have to earn titles not buy them.

Well no the fact that I was in the military and understand Military tactics is what worked for me. I had at that point played WvWvW for about 7 hours actual play time in hopes to get my World completion. Although I am not one of those players that ignores battle I like to get into it also, I figured while I am there might as well crack some heads.
Disagree… let the players take care of this. At least on my Tier 1 world, there are far more Commanders on the field then there are pins turned on. That’s for a reason. We can control and listen to whom we wish. We don’t need Anet acting as the hand of God to force this upon us.
Meanwhile, a good leader doesn’t require a guild at all.

Just because they have a commander title doesn’t mean they know what they are doing, and doesn’t mean you have to listen to them.
^Exactly Kaimick!
We’ve figured out how to use the title on our own. There’s a natural chain of command are we’re good with following it. Are there the occasional credit card commanders, yes. Though it’s an internal issue and it’s dealt with. If you want prices raised, then so be it ON YOUR world server. Leave mine alone please?
~Thank you! lol
