A lot of people will immediately say “No”
Here are some of their reasoning:
-1 We don’t want n00bs in high level runs!
Well, with the latest patch, anyone can already join any Fotm level.

-2 Just because you know how to play a thief in a lvl 30 Fotm, doesn’t mean you can do the same with a guardian!
Yes, no one should jump straight into a lvl 30+ Fractal with a new class, do a -few- runs at 1-10, a few at 11-20 and then a few at 20+. I have no problem doing a few low level practice runs, but grinding out 30+ Fractals on multiple alts is just tedious.

-3 They gonna have no AR, they will melt in high level Fractals
Every piece of Ascended gear comes account bound, so they can be easily passed onto alts.

Too many times we end up in a badly composed PUG, say 2 Elis, a Thief, an Engi and a Mesmer (just an example). We all know that we’ll probably fail, yet no one wants to leave a full group..
If Fractals were account based, people would be a lot more willing to switch over to their alts, to create a more balanced group.
However, since Fotm reward is character based, no one wants to run a high level instance and get level 1 rewards.
Which is why I would like to see the personal reward level to be account based instead.
