I hate MF gear users. They are literally griefers. MF gear is anti-cooperative. They do not contribute as much as a non-MF gear users. If one MF gear user is better than a non-MF gear user than that person should’ve went glass cannon and at least do more damage to make the dungeon run faster instead of greedily hold everyone back with lack of good stats.

“MF gear users: Don’t whine yet!” There is a way to completely change my opinion from kicking them when I see that they are wearing MF gear to gladly having them in my party.

Make MF stats shared across party members. It is simple.

First, Add a partywide cap of 200% and then make MF add up to each party member.

If Timmy has 256% magic find, and Jimmy has 0% magic find. Then Timmy has 256% magic find and Jimmy has 200% magic find. If Joe has 100% magic find and Sue has 150% magic find, then Joe and Sue will both have 200% magic find. If Larry and Gary has 50% magic find, both will have 100% magic find. If Tom has 30% magic find and Bob has 0% magic find, Tom and Bob will both have 30% magic find.

In order to receive the MF buff, the players will need to be in a party.

This way, the disdain for magic find gear will be eradicated as even non-mf gear wearer benefits from the lack of stats.

5x Warrior, 5x Ranger, 4x Elementalist, 4x Engineer,
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant

Better yet, deactivate MF in dungeons. Simpler, and same results.

I agree. MF is a destructive stat that has no place in cooperative play. It isn’t a ‘playstyle’, it’s just stealing time and effort from those who don’t wear it.

Yes, this is what I want. It works better for every scenario and encourages people to party up, which is already the secret way to earn money.

I think MF gear is a wasted stat slot. The devs just added MF to make players think they will get better loots when wearing it. MF is just another tool used for the devs so players will waste all kinds of coin to purchase gear with MF bonuses on it, and other MF bonuses. A way to gold sink more coin. Why wouldn’t the gear have MF on it by default if this wasn’t the case?

I doubt the devs designed the game to grief ALL other players that do not have MF gear. Meaning the person with MF gets better goodies ALL the time, compaired to the one that does not. Why would any company design a game that will give better loots, only if that person has MF or any other weird stat then the person who does not.

I much rather have a player in my group with a better stat in that slot. IE power, toughness, vitality, damage, etc. then someone with a wasted stat slot such as MF.

I went MF Draconic for my first Exotic armor set for my Guardian. I was skeptical, but I’m not any more. When farming Plinx, I get 2-3 rares per cycle when I have all the MF running and 0-1 when I don’t.

That said, it does make you feel a lot more fragile so my Karma armor is mostly soldier stats and outside of chain farming, it works much much better.

Group MF is an interesting idea, but it’s not going to happen. The whole idea behind MF is to give skilled players the option to play “Hard Mode” with reduced practical stats in exchange for increased reward. If you’re doing dungeons in MF, you’re doing it wrong and it may be that groups need to gear check people if it’s that big of a concern.

Designing a game around gear that gives better loots is not a bright decision on the devs part at all. So I have to waste a stat slot, just to get better loots? No thank you.

I will stick around until the next big games comes out. I refuse to change my gear around, and lose important stats, just so I get better drops. I am sorry but this is not gonna happen.

Way to go aNet on makeing a huge game that is just based on Magic Find Gear. Forget about the players that just want better stat slots. So gw2 is just basicly one big treasure hunt?

As it stands now. You HAVE TO have MF gear on just to get anything worth looting? What a piss poor design to what could had been a nice game. The game is not worth the time and effort anymore. Unfortunly there are no other big games coming out anytime soon.

When they do, you bet your ars I will be heading there. I am not dealing with: " The only way you get better loot drops is, with Magic find gear on." anymore.
