I think my chances in getting this through are really low but I’ll have a try

I suggest that the “Mad Memoires: Complete Edition” will be changed to account bound as all the other new event back items like the “Fervid Censer” or the “Sclerite Karka Shell” are.

I’m currently creating an ele and I would like to give him a nice fire look. The “Mad Memoires: Complete Edition” would just fit perfectly.
Unfortunately I got the item long before creating my ele.

I do believe you can transmute to another white backpiece from the trading post and break the soulbinding that way. Someone on another thread was saying they did it.

A guild mate transferred hers to another character. It took her two tries. She didn’t tell me the details.

Yeah, I know this technique but the problem is that you only get one white back item which is souldbound from the story. Have tried it but that hasn’t worked.

If you get one of the quaggan or charr backpack sets, they come with an account bound back strap that you can do this with.

Obtain a backpack SET (not a cover!) from the gemstore or the tp.
Use the set and it will drop a cover and a white back piece. You can get rid of the cover if you wish.
Transmute the skin onto the back piece. Since it is of white rarity, the resultant item will be account bound.

^ Exactly. The backpack sets are expensive, but if your backpiece is a one of a kind thing it is definitely worth it, in some cases.

At first I thought it will be really expensive, like 30g or so, but I think 3 – 4g is an acceptable price.

Plus you get a cute charr or quaggan! Yay!
