Make Titles Give Stats...
This would never happen because they don’t want people to hunt titles. They already did a big mess with the ascended items. Titles giving boons will just make everyone farm them and those who cant get them will come here and complain.
And where has it been stated that “they don’t want people to hunt titles”?
If that were true then they would’nt have implemented the current change to WvW titles. I think extending that to PvE would be awesome. People farm for items as it is and thats a fact…look at how many people are constantly doing the maw or dungeon runs. Having something else to do would allieviate the mass farming for those events and spread player interest into something other than item farming.
People complain either way so its a moot point. and its not like its inaccessible to anyone. This would give those who complain about no endgame or anything to do after completing the story something else to do and add replayability to earlier areas if they do it right.
They could make the boons minimal so they don’t affect the game too greatly and keep it separate from WvW entirely since they have the title structure there already.
Wont happen because people already crying over ascended gear’s +10 to stats.. you wanna be crucified by the casual crowd.. go ahead… you’re just jumping into a sea filled with casual sharks. g5!!! battleship sunk!
Some some little bonus would be nice. More healing when you have Combat Healer on, or +0.5% crit dmg per PVP rank.
It was good in GW1, where titles provided you nice buffs, but they should give effects in the same time. Was bad when you had to change title every time…
“A man chooses; a slave obeys.” | “Want HardMode? Play Ranger!”

A lot of stuff was good in gw1… unfortunately… like most modern sequels.. they just abandon what made their 1st game great & always want to make a new game, which.. turns out worse than the 1st game.

Thats what I was getting at. they shouldnt be huge game changers. I think a system like this like they had in gw1 and the game i was thinkin of was tales of symphonia(reference: http://strategywiki.org/wiki/Tales_of_Symphonia/Titles)
It would be something to add to the game in my opinion and add longevity
No, everyone would be using the same title then, because that would be the best title, unlike how now ppl use the title they like the most of or maybe fit best with their character. Yes Aion have titles and all you see there is everyone using the same 3-4 titles or so
I though this was what we had the traits for. PvE side perhaps, WvW and PvP… no.
bump for feedback
This game doesn’t need more grinding or vertical progression. There are plenty of other MMO’s that offer this that you can play.
Just no. The last thing we need is more grinding.
Aren’t we supposed to wear a title because we like what it implies for our character, not what it gives our character?
Well I would like if they had things like the sunspear and lightbringer achievements from GW1
Just NO and here is why. The last hing this (or most games) need are more passive buffs. It is bad enough the way they are ruining wvw with passives(maybe the ballista one is ok.) They only reward time invested not skill. If you wan tto add some reward for achievements make them active skills not “set it and forget it” buffs.
Example – spider slayer grants you – Web Slinger, utility skill, for the next 5 seconds you will reflect any projectiles from spiders for double damage.
IE – something you not only chose to use as a skill ,but has to be used at the right time and circumstances.
