Make WvW xp account bound and not toon bound
Yeah i agree, would make more sense to have it account bound, by being character bound you are kinda forced to play wvw on only 1 character. And i thought GW2 was supposed to be alt-friendly?
no it wouldn’t make sense to have lvl 1 toon show up and be fully buffed for wvw just because another on your account is.
None of this progression is particularly needed, the rewards are so minimal you won’t notice any difference having or not having them.

If that’s the case then it shouldn’t be in the game at all.
Also, the extra supply to carry is quite significant.

This.
Also do you know that PvE and sPvP are account bound. WvW is large scale PvP so it makes sense to make it account bound. Are they going to rename WvW CvC?
Davidah (Guardian) Goloith (Engineer)
Achuni (Mesmer) Doreanora (Thief)
wvw is not pvp, yes it has some pvp in it but it also has a lot of pve in it, the primary focus of wvw is taking and holding structures, not killing players. PK is just secondary.
As for PvE I didn’t realise leveling up one toon leveled them all or getting say jewel crafting to 400 on one toon gave all toons the ability. PvE skills/abilities are per toon, your skill points are not account based. So i have no idea what you are on about when you say ‘do you know that PvE and sPvP are account bound’.

Except you’re free to trade nearly everything between characters, so effectively your entire account has JC 400.
Also, you’re free to play any character you want without kittening an alt because you can use the money you got there for the alt.
All WvW abilities are segregated from class, and the siege operation ones in particular care little which class you are. An elementalist sitting on a ballista is barely different from a warrior on one.
Since the siege doesn’t care what class you are, why does the WvW ability care which character you’re playing?
Character level can be somewhat used as a gauge of experience, as someone new to a class won’t be particularly good with it, while someone who got it to 80 probably knows it reasonably well. But WvW as a whole (carry supply, place siege, zergzergzerg) is not very much affected by class choice, so if someone has a lot of experience (not the numerical experience, actual gameplay experience) playing it they’re not suddenly going to forget all of it by playing a different class.

And guess what, you take and hold structures, mainly by killing the ppl attacking/defending it, so yes it mostly pvp with some PvE thrown in (but hell even some of the sPvP maps have a little PvE thrown in as well so hardly much difference (like killing svanir in one of the maps to get a buff, or killing the enemy lord to get a massive point boost, on another map)
So I made this suggestion based on a games system argument, but I’ll also add an economic one into the mix:
1) I mostly WvW
2) I like to play alts.
3) Anything that is not alt friendly will encourage me to use only one or two toons for WvW.
4a) The less toons I have and actively play, the less likely I (personally) am going to be to spend money in the cash shop to personalize them which is what most of the cash shop options revolve around.
4b) The less toons I have and actively play, the less likely I am to spend time in game which reduces the “stickiness” of the title for me.
5) That means less $$$ for ANet from me (and I have blown about $100 on this game since launch personalizing and gearing my toons to date).
