As more and more people get to 80 the lvl 80 zones in Orr gets more and more crowded because thats where the best drops are.
Sure you get down scaled to the lower zones but lets face it the loot, karma and xp are simply not there and neither is difficulty.
If they would make a lvl 80 version of each zone, wouldn’t that spread the population out more?
They could also tweak the down scaling to give level 80 loot and the same awards as lvl 80 events, but since they haven’t i suspect they have a reason not to.
Maybe some event would be to easy, and high lvls would farm them to death giving low lvls a bad experience.

That ain’t gonna happen cause this is where GW1 and 2 differ, in GW1 everything that was outisde of a town was in fact an instance and so loaded only for you and your pt, this is also why some won’t really call it a MMO, I disagree but it’s a mather of opinion. Sinds every map is avaible for all people you can’t just change it, it either has to become an instance or it will be changed on the starter map for everyone, don’t think you wanna fight lv 80 when you’re lv 2. The other option is more zones which include high levels but for that you have to wait for future updates or expansions, they said they are gonna focus on adding more stuff once they fix most of the problems but who knows what they will add.

It could be possible with another server, sort of like the Overflow, just with all areas Lv. 80.

Basically the problem is that the level gets decreased, you feel to overpowered and the rewards are not interesting for you.

Sounds more like a problem where they should look into the system that decrease the level and see if they can polish it a bit more and add a loot table or similar that reward level 80 players for playing in a lower zone. They could also hand out a bit more materials to players that spend their time in lower level zones as the materials farmed there, is most probably useless to a level 80 character.

Yes, that is exactly how I feel. I don’t really feel like being in the lower areas because the Karma, loot and XP are not where they should be for a lvl 80. If there’s no reward for being there then why should I go?

I made a couple of suggestions on ways to mitigate the problem. 1) adjust the loot , XP and karma to scale to lvl. 2) make mobs/ monsters not aggro if you are 10 levels over them. 3) allow a player to toggle on and off the level scaling feature.

If you greatly outlevel an enemy = you should get no loot / XP for the kill. They say that the game should be fun for you at all levels no matter where you play. However, if there’s no carrot dangled in front of me then having the battles is just grind.
