Make an explorer assistance system.
Just ask people in-game, like across the map (/m). They/we are happy to help. Not a bad idea nonetheless, but chances are people have been there before and will help. Plus it encourages player interaction instead of the game giving the answer to you.

I have tried this, and seen others try, and keep running across the same problem. How do you know what your looking for if you haven’t found it? I can’t ask for it by name, and listing off everyplace you’ve found already takes too long.
Honestly , while true they could make it easier, you can find the map on the internet and just match the points. most likely i assume you miss a POI.
It takes a little time (at most 5 mins) , to find what you are missing , people simple do not want to spend the little time.
I had the same issue, and with the krytan explorer too…
So I went in the players helping players forum and someone posted this
Had to check them one by one but still it’s better than just randomly running the maps… hope it helps!!
PS: As a tip, you know every area discovered has its name in white letters in the map right? so just compare how many there are and how many you have on your map, it can help you identify in which map you’re missing something.

Look at the map for the part of the zone youre in with the same design as other parts of the map that you havent discovered yet. Undiscovered and discovereed places are easily distinguishable on the map. One is done with much smaller/finer brush strokes and the other is as though the paint was applied with a soaked towel.
