Now that I’ve leveled my elementalist to 80, completed the personal story and got 100% on the world map, there’s two things I’d like to do.

1: Get 252K karma for exotic set (got 121K at the moment).

2: Start a new character.

Why can’t I combine these two and start a new character which I’d gain karma on and could use for exotic armour on my elementalist.

I don’t see why not…

… Signed.

GW1 had basically everything account bound, and you could spend PVP faction to unlock skills for PVE heroes across all characters. In addition, many of the items you can buy with karma are account bound. I agree with account karma.

Perhaps while we’re at it we can redefine the concept of “soulbound,” and reconcile it with the Guild Wars 1 idea of customization. Certain items like story rewards and such will always be soulbound, but nothing else will be. Instead, soulbound becomes a right click choice for gear that increases both its stats (power, vit, etc) and its damage/armor by 25% (to the current values). So you might be able to use and resell that exotic level 80 greatsword, but unless you make it soulbound you will only get 75% of the benefit (meaning you might as well use a level 80 karma green).

I would love to see the the GW1 customise option come back, in return for locking a weapon to your character you got 20% base damage added to it.
