Make sPVP to have a meaning
While I agree with more game-modes, I disagree with upgrading stats.
For the stat increase to be ‘meaningful’ (i.e. a significant increase), it’d then turn the game into where people with more time would have an advantage.

Rather than giving better stat gear, they should add things that could generate an income, at least a small one.
I Gw1, I loved doing FA/JQ. What was better was that I could make Zkeys out of it and turn my hobby into a career. Atm, spvp is only for fun and I still play it for that, but it would be much more rewarding if something like this could be implemented.
Hopefully there will be some Return of the Zaishen pach or they will be added in a cantha expansion or something. The Zaishen made the game better in so many ways closer to the end of GW1. Should also bring back the Zaishen dailies, but for that we probably need more kinds of pvp. I pray for something more like FA / JQ or even maybe RA. SPvP is more like a AB.

True.But is the same in pve world.People with more time also have better gear cause they farm more or do more dungeons.I dont see the reason why that not happening in pvp too.Upgrades is the way and not just cosmetics.Thats the point.Now if someone that will have play 24/7 grinding gear and get an advandage over me in pvp I will not have a problem.I remember some ages back when I was playing Lineage 2 we didnt have pvp gear and nothing we were pvping and dueling with our normal armor and I was trying to enchant my weapons to +100 and it was braking at 98 pissing me off all the time.At least if they dont want to give stats in pvp gear,then lets give enchants scrolls to upgrade your armor and weapons like in L2.Something that will give you an edge and make you more unique among croud.Why everyone should be equal? That is I dont understand.Each class have same or similar abilites/spells,and everyone have same gear with same stats.
Then what defines a win? How many people that will attack you? Cause as far I have seen so far there is no strategy no meaningful teamwork we just run around and killing the other team.And if someone wants to play decent and stay and defend a capturing point there is no way to survive in such situations with other 8 players hiting him.
Those who pvp more like the person said would be at an advantage which would break the game in which it requires skill of the player, not the stats you use to win. You want to be unequal, go to WvW where you can beat up on lower levels with lower level armor even though their personal stats are scaled to 80. Spvp is fine the way it is.
Go up against guild groups in tourney you will see where strategy works on 5v5 where every player matters.

First I ’am also agree with you Aggresive teapot,but for just being truly honest they should add something that will make us different from eachother in pvp.I dont mind if that will be stats in pvp or some awesome unique gear as reward when you achieve something hard in pvp.But for me to be equal in every aspect with someone else isnt right.And they should spend more time to fix that.Cosmetics isnt goal in pvp.The goal in pvp is how to make your character more deadly and to be able to can handle more hits before he die.
KrisV even in wow I wasnt killing low level people why to do that now?And spvp isnt fine.And I am not saying to add only stats in pvp gear as the only solution.Thay can do something different as I said the enchants scrolls that will be totaly random and every player will be able to add something unique on hes armor and weapons.With some nice glow around.Now that I speaked about glow.I dont have see weapons to have any glow in the game so far.except some weapons from NPC’s.Would be nice we also can add enchants with glow in our weapons.
In WoW it was broken up to 0-9 brackets. If you played WoW you would know about Twinks. Unless you only did PVP as an 60,70,80,85,90 whenever you played when it was maxed. While leveling an even a 19,29,etc non twink could kill a 12,15,25,etc. So still counted as lower level.
Adding any extra stats would still unbalance things. Even if killing a player dropped these items. Those that dont get kills, which yes there are people who dont, wouldnt get it. Plus if its a random enchant as you said. Some of these could kill what you set up and how you play, some may, some could. If its gonna be an added thing it needs to be out in the Mist lobby where it cost 0 Glory where everyone can add it. Once again spvp is about players’s skill, not what their stats are.

The thing is, sPvP is meant to have everyone on equal ground. That ensures that people who really are better get better overall results.
Heck, ArenaNet is pushing sPvP as an eSport side of GW2. And let me tell you, if you could lose to someone because you have worse gear than they do, that part would be pretty dull.
ye I knew about twinks in wow but didnt stoped my leveling progress just to made a twink char.So I dont have play one.But Still I dont understand why not putting any new armor sets in the game that will be better from the one that game has now as a start pvping gear.They could do it by spending Tournaments tokens for example to one vendor for rank 30 till rank 60.But something that will be really difficult to get.I didnt said should be easy to get better gear just to add it.Or something else as i said that will not be gear but something that maybe can put your gear that you have allready and some unique tokens or mats and create a new set of armor in mystic forge or somewhere else.With new look and stats and maybe somekind of bonus that will overpower some of your abilites for each class. Just throwing ideas.Dunno if that will happend. Propably will not cause as i see most people want to pvp for ever with the same gear and same stats.Dunno
You fail to realize that there is no brackets here. in Spvp a rank 1 could be fighting a rank 30 or 60. So only providing new items to higher ranks like you suggested would destroy the game.

What he/she fails to realize is how harmful adding advantages to sPvP would be. Adding any sort of inequality alone completely destroys the s’ in sPvP.
Everyone here could go on and on, but lets just realize that this is another fail thread thats wasting time and space and move on.
They could add PvE rewards in the form of tonics/dyes (like zkeys in GW1) to sPvP and still keep sPvP equal.
I liked that I could make gold fast doing pvp in GW1.
They do have gem rewards in sPvP now, but you need to win tournaments.
^ Another thing I really liked about Gw1 that they left out in Gw2. You could actually get something besides titles and armor that you can only display in sPvP. I would sPvP waaaay more if I actually got rewarded.
