Make the other captitals worthwile
^^ I have stated this a few times in suggestions before as well. Even implementing small scale dynamic events in the cities would be pretty neat, Ebonhawke is a great example of how it could work its not instanced but has a few DE’s that go on throughout the fortress, why not the same thing for our home city instances.
One thing that would increase their use is to let you waypoint to the city free of cost. Many people would use the cities for crafting, banking, etc needs if you could waypoint to them without cost.
Yeah ive only been twice to the asuran capital, while its beautiflly designed theres just nothing to do that makes me want to go back, except the fact that im enjoying the scenery.Same goes for all major cities. There needs to be something for people to go back to! dont let these places be deserted please.
First we need a universal group seeking mechanism for the various dungeons. Right now, having everyone in LA is good if you want to find a group to do an explorable/story mode, or the fractals…it’d be a nightmare if I had to jump from city to city looking for group.
Once we do not need to utilize LA for that purpose, I agree, I’d love spending more time in each city.
Fort Aspenwood
I avoid LA like the plague. I personally use Hoelbrak as my ‘base’ of operations.
I do agree, more should be available in the other cities, but considering the game is new, ‘things’ may come about as time progresses. As they say ‘Rome was not built in a day’.
Gandara
Making city /mapchat cross all cities would help.
I prefer BC to any others, but it`s a ghost town, even in chat & this could change that.

To take it a step further, the interface really should have an option to map-travel instantly to any of the capital cities. People do this already anyway, but it is multi-step:
1. Travel to heart of the mists
2. Walk through the Asura gate to Lion’s Arch
3. Waypoint travel to the Asura gate hub
4. Walk through the Asura gate to your destination captital city
Those 4 steps are really just a waste of time and watching a few different map loading screens. If they added the ability to map-travel freely to the capitals, it would save some time and frustration and there’s a good chance it would add a little life back to the capitals since it would reduce the annoyance level to get there. Right now a lot of folks hub at Lion’s Arch simply because it is easiest/quickest to get there.
as long as we can use skills in towns, dynamic events in towns will be the best addition to them. Even under city dungeons can be great.

I think each of the racial cities could benefit from having a mini dungeon inside of them. That and each city should have at least one fun mini game, which is severely lacking at the moment.

I agree. Until there’s a real looking for group tool, people should be encouraged to hang out in Lion’s Arch.

This is literally the least ANet can do and it should have a somewhat decent impact. since LA is a hub area in large because of the limited chat functionality. However WoW has something similar and it didn’t much help there though. So chat would be a small (and hopefully technically trivial) step in the right direction.
