I would LOVE if there were a makeover pack, I started not liking my Sylvari face after noticing it doesn’t go well with the masks and I found an alternative face that does. But I don’t want to lose all my achievements and leveling I’ve spent on my main, I dislike alts, I prefer putting all my time into my main.

So yeah, makeover packs similar to GW1 Please! Oh and about the race change thing that’d affect story doesn’t bother me, I would never change from Sylvari to another race SYLVARI FTW!

Totally agree! Initially I thought my ranger looked cool & rugged with a bandana. Now at lvl 80, that bandana just looked stupid & mismatch with the armor set! Super sad. I hope we can change look/hairstyle in game or via Black Lion Trading Company

/Sign for this – I want to change my hair style since I wear a mask and my hair looks boring now with it.

hell no, i dont want change it through the BLTC, there should be a way like everything else, i dont want to waste gems just to change my Races looks

something like:
complection dyes
hairstyle magazne
face peels
eye lenses
horn styles
earpieces
etc…

instead of only the dye button there should be a drop down button so you can scroll for which you want to change, if you have the required. plus like the dyes, you have basic start up kit like the dyes, and I dont mind that the start up kit would be shorted if this would be implemented.

From the BLTC : Full Make up Kit

and things like that that should be a normal drops and people can and should be able to sell it in TP

It was available in GW1 and other games so I don’t see why not. Most likely it is coming in a future update, will be looking forward to it also; one of the reasons I don’t play my necro asura is because I hate his face but really don’t want to repeat the content I have already done so far with him.

I can somewhat understand where you’re coming from, but it seems like you’re asking for too much, considering how this would impact the game; changing your character’s appearance comes with a cost. Always. GW1 had the Makeover Pack in the cash-shop, so I don’t see how it should be any different for GW2.

If you want to add/change what accessories your character is wearing, that is what Town Clothes are for. But even unique Town Clothes and accessories (such as eyeglasses) will cost you a certain amount of gems.

If you want to change your looks through loots in the game, that is what Tonics are for — and they are temporary.
Things like “horn styles” or “earpieces” shouldn’t be part of normal drops, in my opinion, as they lead the game to becoming something like “Barbie’s Makeover Adventure.” No offense.

the last two are maybe race specific, it can be even loted under the same catagory so it wouldnt be race specific, (horns are for charr, earpieces are sylvarie)

but thats not my beef with the idea, right now, if i created my character with a bandana and later i didnt like it (which is the deal with my ranger right now) i dont want to spend REAL CASH just to change it, i dont mind spending silver or gold to change it, but i am not spending gems to change the looks of any character no matter how i hated it later, someone should take more consideration when they make it

You do realize that you can buy gems with in-game currency, right?

i do know that, but for example the price of gems today is about 1g=220gems while getting the dye bundle is about 400 or 450 (i cant remember) lets say that it is going to be the same price, so that is going to be 2g for a makeover kit, which is a very steep price, just for a makeover while all things in game have been down graded in price not to be that insane

i mean the drop rate for dyes is high, I have about 40 dyes now, other than the starting ones, on one character, but that is my point of view on having them droped,

if they are to be sold (like the option that it was in wow) it wouldnt be that high in price, 2g is really steep, and that is saying that it is going to be for 400-450 gems not any higher!

Last time I checked it was 41s to buy 100 gems and 100 gems to buy 35s so if you were to buy 100 gems with real cash currently it would cost about $1.10 if i am right? ($10 for 800) If you choose not to spend real cash then you have to deal with the reality of gems costing a lot of in game cash, that is the reality of the system.
