Anyone who has fought this boss will realize how simple it is to kill it, because in mere seconds it is dead. My ideas here could make it one of the most challenging bosses in the game. Making it more challenging will make it more frustrating, but also more rewarding when it is finally killed!

The Great Jungle Wurm

- Firstly this boss needs much, much more health and toughness than it does currently, because it dies very quickly.

- Summoned husks should be more easily consumed by the wurm to keep its health up, because if we have easy access healing, why shouldn’t it?

- One attack where it slams it’s body on the ground, dealing massive damage (you need to dodge the attack to basically not be downed) and doing a long knockdown if you happen to survive.

- One attack where he spins in a whirling 360 that will hit and throw ANYONE (no maximum amount of targets). It has a large blowout and the only way to avoid it is a dodge roll or get out of its range. It deals a lot of damage.

- One attack where it burrows underground and bursts out of the ground to do a huge blowout AoE that deals a lot of damage.

- I can’t stress enough that these attacks have to deal a lot of damage due to it being a huge wurm hitting you.

- It’s targeting is based on where the largest concentration of players is so there is never a mass standing in one location.

Hopefully they will introduce some of these ideas to create an epic battle to destroy the Great Jungle Wurm!

it is in a low level area where bunch of newbies get their experience there is nothing bad with easy content, once we are tired of farming it the newbie will be left with some challenging content that no one want to do anymore like every temple in orr.

I have nothing against making the Worm harder, but making it hard for geared 80’s will make it almost as inaccessible to characters on level as it is now, where they are lucky to get silver credit, if any. Perhaps a happy medium on difficulty.

As to Orr temples, they are some of the most fun content in the game. I see them done regularly, at least since the guaranteed rare.

Well I agree that it is a level 15 area but in general GW2 bosses are not challenging enough to be really considered bosses, more like “monsters I can stand in front of and kill without them doing any damage to me”. If this actually happened, it brings more realistic gameplay and will be a great learning experience for new players, as they need to time their dodge rolls right to basically not die. I can’t wait for them to do something like this, because we all need a challenge injected into the otherwise non-challenging PvE maps.

Edit: Since the rewards are so great now it should be a big enough incentive for players to brave the Wurm. The event chain is not as long as the temples either so it will not be an inconvenience.
