My suggestion to ANET, is to develop more on making classes use other weapons we are all restricted from. Imagine an Acrobatic Thief using gravity and Body weight to swing a Great sword, A Longbow Mesmer creating illusions to make some sort of Illusionary Volley. Give Necromancers a chance to get up close and personal with a hammer, giving them necrotic Armor that’s bones of a sacrificed Minion with other sacrificial powers like losing a bit of health to make a Bone hammer. Rangers Using staves to call upon the wild to stampede the enemies. Warriors Using Daggers to be quicker with attacks and very acrobatic. An elementalist using a Rifle To combine elements with the bullets fired. An engineer being able to use a Torch to light more powerful explosives to Blow up things. Guardians using Shortbows to fire arrows that are infused with the light to heal teammates and do dmg at the same time. All of these are Very acceptable ideas for Professions and honestly should not be restricted from them. Hopefully I’d love for ANET to see this Topic and at least think about this. Its a great idea for a patch or expansion. Refreshing the old Professions to keep up with the new ones that may come from the next expansion they make. Whatever the purpose to implement these ideas, Its a sound Suggestion for the game we love and play everyday.

Well it wouldnt make the theif a Warrior really, Its giving the Thief that uses Acrobatic Ways to use the weapon. Its really not blurring the lines between things but just making Classes more versatile IMO. Weapons would still be unique to the Professions by the way they use them. Like a ranger can do a volley, But a mesmer can Make illusions that could do the same dmg n what not. The balancing of the dmg is really simple if ya think about it.
