Making legendaries legendary
“As those of you have seen, certain legendary’s are outclassed by other’s, and all are outclassed by the greatswords.
My idea is that all legendaries gain boosts in cosmetic effects to make them on par with the Sunrise, Twilight etc."
Sunrise and Twilight do not look that good. I agree some of them aren’t that great, but honestly, I think the best legendary right now is the flameseeker phrophecies and it is the only one I am going for.

I think beyond the looks and cool effects the legendaries should have an impact on your account/char. A title / cool achivement points / bunch of legendaries contribute into some epic title. (Like Sunrise Twilight? Cool here is your title Sky Owner i just made that up yes its silly but you get the point.) stuff like this would make them legendary in my opinion..not oh its so shiny it made me blind.
I was planning to make a thread for my suggestion but it looks like you have beaten me to it.
From what I know – which is not a lot – it seems that legendary items are hard to obtain, and so they should be, but I’ve seen a thread about getting them isn’t all too worthwhile or something.
Okay, back to my suggestion. I think it would be cool if legendary items have a whole different set of skills to them. Think of it like conjured items – you pick it up and oh look you have some different skills to play with. How my idea works is that when you have a legendary equipped it would add an extra F key – I suppose rangers might get annoyed with so many ^^" – and pressing said F key you will “call upon the legendaryness” of the weapon, or whatever fancy word/phrase you want to use, and your 1-5 skills will be replaced with new ones, of course just temporarily or until you press that key again to revert back to your normal skills and when either occurs the cool-down timer would start.

Awesome idea Drastorm. Or at least they could add different animations and effects to the same skills for not having to do new skill balances.
1st: making their moves work differently compared to those of lower grade skins would make the game extremely unfair, xpecially considering there’s ppl that would never get to spend such a gargantuarian amount of stuff to get’em.
2nd: they do have different animations and effects already
3rd: you’ve just gotten a legendary skin item… it’s already an achievement for you and everybody can notice it just by looking at you… why the kitten would you need anything else to show it off even more??
4th: I do agree that quite many legend skin suck or aren’t as good as others… but greatswords alone almost make it worth to play another class (at least daz my opinion)

Right… yes, I’m fully aware that balancing the new skills will happen and will take a while, I’m not expecting super-OP-nerf-Irelia kind of stuff (sorry, I had to xD) but more powerful than normal skills.
And to be honest, I’m not even level 80 yet and I doubt that I may even get a legendary weapon but I don’t care.

True, but just FYI I’m not wanting to show off fancy new skills for people to marvel at.
But it seems people who do have legendaries want more out of them.
Slightly more on topic – I suppose a balance could be that in something like tournaments only a certain amount of players are allowed to “activate” their legendary item. Also I’m thinking about making up some skills and do a little bit of balancing, no promises because I’m rather lazy ^^".

I just wish I could switch the legendary longbow and shortbow skins My ranger needs a unicorn for sure.
