Right now, WvW map completion can be difficult because the maps don’t switch around that often (especially if on a low tier server).
What if someone who wants to finish the map could become a ghost of sorts? They would not be able to affect anything on the map. No killing lords, enemies, or getting supply ect. Nor could they be killed themselves. In return someone as a “ghost” would be able to get into any tower, castle or camp no matter what server it belonged to.
But since that could be abused, maybe all enemy players (and siege?) should become invisible to the “ghosts.” so no reporting of movements around the map.

It could help purely PvE players, legendary hunters (or anybody else)

Actually they switch around much much more then they used too. I remember when my server was green for 13 weeks in a row. I got my world completion on the character I wanted at the time simply by politely asking a commander to form up the troops and assist me.

Part of the point of world completion as I see it, is to experience the content in order to acquire the locations. They should not simply give you the location because you ghosted there. World completion is a significant accomplishment and should be earned and not handed to you.

The hardest part of WvW map completion is waiting for your server to gain control of keeps and towers and that boils down to actually doing some WvW or checking in once in a while to see what your server is holding.

The rest of it (camps, vistas, skill points) can be obtained by a sneaky solo player; You don’t even need to have stealth. Just be sure to hug the extreme borders of the map while you circle around and tag these points. Some skill points just require you going to them which also makes the in and out sneak tactic that much easier.

I’d say clear as much open content as you can first on all maps then just wait around till your server holds the keeps and towers you need. It’s just going to take a while but you’ll do it.

Another tip: If a keep or tower is open I suggest you log in with all your alts and tag those POI’s and vistas with them too in case you want to do further map completion in the future. Even if you’re not working on the PvE world at least you can get the WvW stuff out of the way on all your characters in this manner.

Honestly, I’ve been against suggestions like these forever. From way before I had completed even 10% of the WvW maps, and even after completing the maps I’m still against suggestions like these. With the added effect that I now find these kinda suggestions somewhat insulting. I and everyone else (well, except early serverhoppers.) currently holding the title worked hard for it. Why would you want to cheapen our achievements?
It is not that difficult to stick around at WvW and help cap that keep where you have your next POI, even if it happens to be the opponent homekeep. It can be time consuming and somewhat difficult, but that is why it’s called an achievement.

What would the point be in the ghostmore? Would you suggest we hand out fly for the players next, so they don’t have to navigate the jumping puzzles for that last skillpoint on the map?

People who can argue often offer a good and meaningful conversation about the subject.
People who can’t tend to call the opponent troll, scream something utterly incomprehensible
and finally result to personal insults.

Also, WvW exclusive players are forced to go to waaaaaay more PvE locations for map completion. But I never see PvE’rs making post asking why WvW players have to go all over a much larger PvE area for this achievement. I always feel like there is a level of hypocrisy to it.

The thing is that PvE is just time consuming. It isn’t difficult. Even though WvW is much smaller and quicker to complete you still have to deal with the PvP aspects and some players do not want that. They may have had bad griefing experiences in other MMO’s, don’t want to fight other players, can’t deal with the TS organization style of professional zergs, or just find is stressful.

These aspects of WvW are absent in PvE which is why you don’t see the counter argument that often. PvE boils down to time in game and getting it done. WvW deals with an actual other person on the other side of the computer making things difficult for you in ways you can’t predict or may not have the skill to counter. Some can’t deal with it.

I WvW, PvP, and have 100% map completion on 2 characters but I can still empathize with why someone may not want to spend very much time doing that content.

I disagree. Too many times you will encounter events with overwhelming numbers of mobs blocking you from POIs, waypoints, and quest givers. Requiring a force to clear out.
