Maybe a Paw Icon should be visible over the ranger’s pet? Something like the commander icon, but only the pet’s owner would see it. Sometimes it is difficult to keep track of where the pet is during intense fights (or when it is chasing someone far from you).

If not, maybe something else like making the outline of the pet very visible through crowds/walls which would not only reveal location but also what the pet was doing so you could hold off on recalling it until it finishes a long-animation skill, or see that it is knocked down and know that F2 won’t activate right away.

Either of these suggestions could have a toggle to de-activate them in the pet management window.

I wouldn’t have a problem with that, as long as it only effected the owner of the pet and could be turned off.
